Sony MDR-ZX700 Headphones with Noise Isolation Earpads $99.50 Delivered (RRP $199)

40

The Sony MDR-ZX700 Headphones are an expensive, well-reviewed pair of headphones.
As a $200 set of headphones, they have received 4/5 stars on Amazon.co.uk and 8/10 from Trusted Reviews.com (http://www.trustedreviews.com/sony-mdr-zx700_Headphones_revi…), but Amazon.co.uk has recently dropped the price to $99.5 shipped.

Next best price in Australia is ~$150 delivered, so that's still a $50 saving

If people think the product is worth paying $200 for

You can get it for $150 and less from several Australian stores, your RRP reference is a joke and misleading, and is just going to result in impulse buys from people who can't be bothered Googling…

  • really where? everywhere i look its 150 o.O

You looked everywhere, did you? Why don't you start with the developers website next time.

      • It's sold for $150 or less at several places, RRP is irrelevant

Can you stop negging me comments, I'm just stating the facts

        • Irrelevant facts that is.

  • If these zx700s can at least sound similar to the almighty z1000(4-5 times the price), this is a good buy.

    • Wish I could afford those ones.

  • Creative Aurvana Live! are a much better option for only $70 or $55 if you buy two

ahh damn, waiting to be paid and I missed out. F#@K

        • Says "back in stock soon"…I'll keep my fingers cross for you! :)

  • A bit off topic, but does anyone know good earphone deal like Brainwaves M4 28USD?? I need to buy new one.:(

  • soundmagic pl20 for 9.50?

I flagged your deal as advertising as I had the 199 figure in my memory for some reason.

I imagine the above is valid, still to my view a 4/5 star on 'Amazon' won't generally be as accurate as an 8/10-star rating from specialist 'head-fi.org' review.

Therefore should Sony be believed popular sufficient to attract voting here, then let this be tested.

As a deal, ($99.50) appears to pass the rule (inside its own class)

    * Is this really the best price on the web List of Price Comparison Sites?

However, from a wider perspective and from an audiophile view

Oh, ..I see now this MDR-ZX700 is rated 8/10 for Sound. So likely as good a value as the next buy at $100. I trust some reviewers/sites over others, but I'd also be leaning toward 2 x CAL!'s at around this price point as perhaps a better deal (for >1 person).

Get over yourself.. ozbargains is NOT and will NOT ever be a review site.. It's a site where people submit bargains.. It's up to you as a buyer to determine if a product will suit your needs..

It's people like you who will eventually kill this site as no one will bother to post up bargains because they get flamed for it..

I do not flame anyone or suggest OzB become a review site (although this wouldn't hurt).

I feel your criticism might be misplaced. /Better we all just offer honest opinions.

I rely on OzBargains to throw up the occasional good deal.
I rely on members like daver to help me decide whether it is a good deal.

Frankly the OP lost me with the tone & content of his replies to pmupsinep & veyrongatti above.
OzBargain is & will remain very active, even amongst dealers. They are after all seeking a sale.

        • Thank you, and agreed.
