If I only want to buy 1 of these games, you recommend the Impossible Lair over the first one?
Both are very different games. Yooka-Laylee is a 3D Adventure like Banjo-Kazooie while The Impossible Lair is a platformer like Donkey Kong Country.
I would recommend Impossible Lair over the first but, as Doowyah said, they're quite different games. I enjoyed both.
Great games. Won the original Yooka-Laylee through developers Playtonic who are ex-Rare team (Banjo-Kazooie). Both games have also been free on Epic Games if you prefer to play on PC but it’s nice to have a portable version for on-the-go gaming.

I think I've said this here before but Impossible Lair is a really good game. I bought it at launch (so for much more than $9) and thought it was worth every cent. Absolute no-brainer at this price.
