Suggestions for Home Hi-Fi System

My parents are renovating their living room space and need a suggestion for a home Hi-Fi system to use for both watching movies and as a make shift karaoke machine. We've already purchased microphones and an audio interface which dont work with out existing soundbar setup.

Any suggestions?

    Does the soundbar have a MIC input or a line input or a pre-amp input? Depending on the input type may be why the MIC does not work.

    What are you calling an "audio interface"? Was this an adapter a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter?

      There are no MIC input ports. The audio interface is the Behringer U-PHORIA UMC404HD audio/MIDI interface

    Sorry a HIFI system is not just a soundbar. Do you have an amp/receiver?
