I actually purchased this last year when it was 90% off but I saw it today for free so here it is. Definitely not a masterpiece but it's not terrible either and worth a playthrough

Why is it listed as ‘free to play’ rather than free? Is it ‘free to play’ like the sims 4?
Think it's because it's free forever now. Whereas games that say free are only temporarily free.
I recommend mentioning the game genre in the post description.
The Phoning Home original soundtrack is also free to get on GOG, listed as a DLC under the game listing
The developer also made Cloudpunk. Fantastisch!

I bought the game, tried to like it but it's just nasty
I loved that combat looks gritty but I found it a nightmare to get used to.
Is this game at least better than the Atari 'ET' game brought out in the early 1980s? That game was so bad that almost all copies of it were eventually consigned to landfill …

Thanks OP. Lovely game, got it on GOG a while back. Is difficult to play due to bugs but the scenery is awesome and the sound track is just beautiful.
