    • It's a great option. It's very rigid boards, high scuff resistance, good stain resistance, good water resistance. Downside is quite thin for kitchen bench tops, so you're best bet is using it as a feature board on top of a thicker base layer.

You may get lucky with a line of boards matching up grain/color at the ends, but probably takes some work sorting through the pile. Definitely possible to get a good match at maybe 25% hit rate.

There is a very narrow amount of sanding and staining possible. IMHO you get 1-2 attempts at stripping/staining/protective coating due to thinness+glue layer.

  • +1

Mrs grabbed some in 1200x300 to make some shelving for $10 each a few weeks ago.

  • +1

A few times now I've gotten these (or the deeper, longer table and cut it down to size so you get a desk with some good depth) and some dirt cheap ikea table legs to make computer benches, office benches, garage benches. Get 5 legs for the wider boi (2m? 2.4m?) and put one in the middleish.

Cheapest, sturdiest desk deal around. Far superior to ikea's absolutely (profanity) shithouse cardboard honeycomb monstrosities. Can actually clamp monitors firmly to the edge without it breaking.

    • YMMV

I've had an IKEA standing desk for 3 years now. I'm delighted with it. Cable management is good, it supports 2 X 32" monitors, the PC and a lot of papers and bits and the mechanism works faultlessly (and I have it up and down several times a day).

OTOH, I haven't tried clamping anything to it. I think it says something about do not compress in the paperwork.

      • Yeah. Clamp a few monitor arms to the edge and it'll rip the edge apart.

    • Which table legs?

      • Whichever take your preference. IKEA has a range from super cheap to fairly expensive and motorised. Go your hardest.

  • Bought one weeks ago, new it was cheap but didn’t see any reduced labels

  • I used a couple of these to make a floating entertainment unit when I renovated the theatre room. I paid $58 each for them

  • Is this shower panel?

    • yeah its fully marine ply

  • Nice esp with powerpass discount

  • Are these suitable for building feature walls i.e. behind the TV?

    • I wouldn't. There is a lot of variability between panels and they are heavy. Use something thinner that is meant to be jointed to span a wall without looking weird.

      • Thank you.

Do you happen to have a specefic recommendation? Doesn't have to be from bunnings :)

        • Not in timber finish. A lot of cost effective / DIY wall panelling is pre primed MR MDF and similar.

  • Hmm.. Might cut it for garage shelving..
Anyway to make this ok for the elements? Ie: Thinking of bolting it to the fence out the back for a bar area/shelve near the bbq..

    • these would not be outdoor rated

  • Has anyone signed up to the Wesfarmers ONEPass thing? Tempted to do it and see if I can get some of these free delivery

  • How long will Bunnings hold an item for click and collect?

    • I think it is two weeks

  • picked up 1 and put over my washing machine and dryer. does this need to be oiled/stained first? cheers

  • A newbie question… I see the comment "f you use click and collect and the product is out of stock but available at another store, Bunnings will search other stores and ship to you for free.". How do you add the item for click and collect when the product is out of stock? It wont let me add it using web brower on computer or via powerpass app?

Also this one may also be cheap too
