    Black friday!

  • Are you bringing it back?

Asking for a friend called the Australian Taxpayer…

    • Haha.. thanks for your concern..

      Nope..

2 phones is hardly 'in bulk'

Then buy a cheaper iPhone? Do you really need two Pro Maxes?

      • Why do you need 2? If you fear you might lose/break one, it'll much likely be cheaper getting a new one then rather than buying 2 now.

          Why do you need 2?

C'mon man… one for each ear!

        For individual is..

Maybe for you, but the obvious point is that it is not a bulk order for a retailer, so unlikely any bulk discount could apply especially on Apple.

This, retailers would probably hang up on me if I "bulk" buy 2 phones

      • Shouldn’t have responded like that, could have just laughed along.

  • Does the TRS still have a cap amount for individuals? I thought there was but I'm failing to google it.

    2 iPhones !== bulk.

    • If it was a brick phone sure but iPhone na not bulk in any way or form

  • Would be flat out getting discount for 20 let alone 2.

Apple and discounts, not in the same sentence.

  • One option would be to buy gift cards when Woolies runs another offer. Effectively 10% off in Woolies credit.

  • Macquarie apple gift card 5% discount

  • So far the only way to save on the latest Apple products was via various gift card deals.
On a lighter note, Has anyone actually had any experience with being caught bringing the declared/claimed item back into the country? Somehow it sounds veeery far fetched that customs would check your pockets for a phone… And if yes, how flexible are they with “reasonable” explanations and the fines?

    • No fines. Worst consequence they will ask you to pay the TRS back.

      • Sounds good to me. Cheers
