Prices are okay but the delivery fee is a deal breaker for me personally…

I don't understand why "craft beer" is so expensive. $90 a carton is no wonder it isn't selling. $10 per litre!
People make single batches of home brew, buying small quantities of yeast/grain and still only cost them around $3ltr.

    • There isn't that much difference in price for commercial quantities of grain and yeast. Also large scale brewing equipment is very expensive. Not too mention staff, power, packaging. I think suggesting that craft beer should be anywhere close to $3 a litre for a commercial company is a bit short sighted.

      • Agreed but they shouldn't say under $2 per can when it's not true with the shipping.

If I am buying craft beer, I only buy deals with single varieties as that's the point of craft in my view. Trying lots of new ones and tagging them in on Untappd.

I'd never buy 4 let alone 48 of the same craft beers personally.

Side note, this company seems to get a lackluster response to their 'deals' here so maybe they need to try a different approach.

I totally agree they shouldn't say under $2 a can.

And I'm the same a you, I don't typically buy a carton of something unless I've had it before and really enjoy it.

Variety is the best part of craft beer for me.

Lucky for you this brewery broke down their costs a few years ago to explain why they charge what they do:

    • Others have mentioned, but also you're probably not across the anti competitive behaviour tap deals InBev have inherited from buying out bigger Aussie beers. Craft beers cannot get a foot hold at the bar and it's anti competitive bullshit that forces craft brewers to operate a razor thin margins.
