Ryzen 5700G - Likely Black Friday Deals?

Hi guys, I need a 5700G APU.

Currently, they can be had for $340. But considering the 7000 series is both out AND discounted already, I feel the 5700G is overdue for a price drop.

QUESTION:
Should I wait for Black Friday to see if we get a deal?

SOLVED: ($322 today)

        I'm as confused as you

        • Got it, just need to find a coin to flip.

Damn it, I have no coins.

    maybe

    • Or maybe not ? Is it more likely than unlikely or just possibly possible?

    $322 delivers Wednesday: https://www.amazon.com.au/AMD-Ryzen-7-5700G-100-100000263BOX…

How much would it likely to drop to, maybe $299 max? ~$20 for extra couple weeks & no will-it wont-it hassle seems worthwhile.

    • I just spotted that on Amazon now and came to update but see you beat me to it. It was $339 yesterday. I'm with you, $322 is good enough , I've pulled the trigger.

      • Did u buy it at $322? Cuz im seeing $320.92 rn

Just rechecked, still showing $322 at my end. Though if I overpay by $1.08 I can still sleep at night :)

          • @Click_It: Hahaha yea it wouldn't bother me in the slightest as well.

I wouldn't bet too much on it since the 5700g hasn't really been replaced yet. 7000 series are all 105W and aimed at high end desktop usage, likely next year there will be a 65W replacement to the 5700G targeting midrange.

AMD dropped the price on their other chips thanks to 13th gen intel prices, but Intel didn't release a chip around the $AU300 mark either. They'll drop the price on this chip when there's something to compete with that makes it badly priced, not beforehand.

    • That's a good take on it, thanks for sharing I hadn't considered that.

  • NO, but used google and found a few stores with the 5700G in stock.
