So I installed Samsung trade in app on my phone to see what my flip 3 will be worth to trade in on a flip 4 for the upcoming Black Friday specials. Asurion runs the trade in process, only offered me $370 trade in which was pretty poor. But they put a hold on the $370 automatically in my savings account without me proceeding with any trade in.
Not impressed as it was not evident that they would do this. I contacted Samsung via chat they informed me the $370 would be released 2 weeks after the 30th November if I don’t proceed with a trade in.
If your interested in what your phone would be worth I suggest you contact them via chat and get a quote rather than install the app and have money frozen in your account
Keep a keen eye on that because there's a lot of poor feedback on Asurion's practises on here alone. Put a reminder in place to double check this so you don't get stung later.
