    No freebie for me.

  • The first free item I've been given in the perks program.

Are you paying a monthly fee for the Extra Perk program? If so, best to put that detail in Deal.

    • I'm on the trial and received something. ie; Primo sliced meat

So not available to those on ordinary Rewards cards.
Requires signing up to the paid Everyday Extra from Everyday Rewards program (with free trial)
        Should be stated in Deal!

        • Correct! on the screen shot it says extra perk they offer a free 30 day trial.

          • @Charbel91: That's what alerted me to this not being an ordinary Rewards freebie.

Reported to change title as only for those on the paid Everyday Extra from Everyday Rewards program.
And then targeted to only some members…

Saves confusion for the rest of us with mere Rewards cards

            Title now UPDATED: [Everyday Extras]

  • Nope, did not receive that one, got a free 80-100g Primo Sliced Meats instead.

  • Well that will get me to signup for a trial.

    • You're easily enticed by a free packet of bikkies…
See you on Saturday for the free Ozbargain lunch! A much better value offer😊

      • Bikkies can get you a long way in my life!

The program is a no-brainer if you shop at Woolies anyway. $59 a year and 10% off a shop once a month at Woolies and at BigW. Easy to make back your subscription fee and you get all the perks especially triple rewards points on your groceries.

      • As I raised in the paid Everyday Extra from Everyday Rewards Deal, my experience with the 10% discount with insurance & mobiles - meant losing my regular bonus offer Deals. (eg the regular offers of 3000pts on $50 shop)

Rarely used the 10% per month included discount - as offers on other Rewards accounts were better for smaller spend.

Those offers are far more valuable to me than 10% off 1 shop per month. Rarely shop at BigW for their extra benefit.

Anecdotal from my end but I just finished a 5000 point bonus for 2 weekly shops of $120 each week. Finished on Sunday night and now immediately into a 4 week one for 10,000 points for 4 weeks of $105. I haven’t noticed a reduction in these types of bonuses so far 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also have a 5x points bonus for $40 or more shop that finishes today.

          • @B Wat: Good they don't seem to have reduced offers. My comment was made before Extra program started, based on included benefit with Woolies Insurance.

Loyalty programs are to benefit the merchant, not the customer.
Paid loyalty programs ensure the customer is committed to that merchant. It can stop members shopping for better offers elsewhere! (Why I won't join.)

            I usually spend about $50/wk @Woolies.
And shop elsewhere for lowest prices, without having to make best use of a paid program - associated with 1 Rewards card at 1 supermarket chain.

With a few Rewards cards (can then choose best offer), & no paid program:
Received offer of 5400pt for 1 x $100 this week. That 5x points bonus for $40 stacks with it. Haven't checked other offers.
Got 2850pt for 1 x $50 shop last week, by stacking boosters.

Finished Coles 10k for 4 x $50 shops last week. Spent the points today for another 2000pt

            Fridge & pantry full!

Am only interested in major bonus points offers at lowest cost! Paying a subscription goes against that

At Woolies, got 26k pts for under $10 spend recently & posted Deal last year for 16kpts (8 x 1c weekly shops)

So hardly worth paying for program with less points… for me.
And 10% off 1 shop / mth makes sense if you have large shops, which I don't.

            Assess your individual benefit.

Most don't seem to maximise the benefit available with the free Rewards program. Posted how to do that many times over the years

Won't be won over by an occasional packet of biscuits😊

      • Yep, joined 22nd Sept and already saved just over $77 + around $15 in extra points.

        Lolz

  • Hmm I just found one expiring today - I searched my email for "Extra Perk is here" (the one expiring today was 15 extra glassware credits)

    • Received 10 extra credits with ordinary Rewards card. Binned offer as not interested.

      • The extras one didnt require any spend - just added the points - whereas the ordinary required $20 spend at woolies and bigw, IIRC ?

        • Dug out the binned offer details - $20, but most would spend $20 anyway. For me, it stacked with a good bonus points offer for greater than $20😉

But no interest in collecting credits for glasses. Rather have bonus points offers on ordinary Rewards cards:
          5400pt for 1 x $100 this week.
          Got 2850pt for 1 x $50 shop last week.

Can't see benefit of paid subscription in my case. Almost never spent more than average $50/wk to receive much benefit from 10% discount, included with my Woolies Insurance. Always got better offer with other Rewards card.

Benefits will differ, mainly depending on size of spending at Woolies & BigW.
