seems a great price especially with the new game

    • Yeh agree, want a Pc, definitely going to buy this game, would have been a great deal with the game
Will probably get lazy and go for a prebuilt one tho 😂

Your Intel over AMD is correct !

  • Waiting for a $250 Intel Core i5-12400 deal.

Is amazon au a participating retailer in this promo ? Cannot find any information for this.

Cannot find any australian retailer who is referring to this promo either.

Hi Friends, thoughts on this compared to going for the AMD Ryzen 5600 @ ~$200?

    • +2

same level of performance, amd has cheaper mobos, intel has MW2 if u want that

Thanks! I don't care for the game, unless it has resale value? Haha

        • +2

u prolly could sell it off to a friend or something for $75, its a $110 game

@Toastywf: Yeah dope, I'll have a think. Thanks!

I'm kind of excited going the 5600, never had an AMD build before. Will just be a stop gap upgrade for my 2013 build until I do a proper new build in couple years.

    • AMD Yes

    • 12400f will be slighly faster than 5600 and 5600x on most avg gaming fps, but not all games. 5600 is cheaper and has more cheaper motherboard to choose from, 12400f slighly more expensive and not much cheap motherboard to choose. I will rule out 5600x as it's price too close to 12400f but slower.

Shockngly bad deal at this price

    a 5600x is 259 bucks..

  • Not sure Amazon is participating with this?

  • Can anyone please suggest a budget mb to go with this?

  • I can’t believe this. I bought this 2 nights ago for $269

  • Best gaming CPU from tomshardware 7 days ago. or i should say best budget gaming CPU atm, https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpus,3986.html
    5600 is alternate pick.

  • If you want this deal even cheaper, sell me your call fo duty key 😄

  • MW2 is $110 for the base game so this is an even better deal if you were going to pay for that ridiculous price anyway

  • With the game it is actually not bad

I've got some bad news. Amazon may not be participating in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 offer. After some searching on Reddit I was able to find a slightly different terms page that outlines participating retailers in more detail (the previous terms page did not have a list of participating retailers and it was the first result on Google.)

I also made an account and went through the Software Offer claims page and tested the different fields and found there was no way to submit Amazon Au as a reseller. The form simply does not allow you to proceed if you select the "Not listed" option.

There is still an option to submit a support ticket with Intel on the claims site and ask Intel to honour the offer, as many users have recommended doing on Reddit

This method is likely not guaranteed to get you a copy of MW2. You may need to cancel your order or perform a change of mind return with Amazon if you've already received it (do not open or unseal the packaging if you want to return it)

  • Jb hi fi should be able to price match but dont think they sell this.

Don't think any computer stores price match though
