Reviews on this kettle are mixed, but the principal concern is the retail price.
At this discount price, it makes it more competitive and may be a deal when compared to entry level kettles priced around the $300 mark at bunnings.
Kamado Joe after care is reportedly excellent.
Probably not fair to compare this to ceramic kamados, which are generally double the price and function differently.
I suppose the comparison is this vs other kettles.
But I agree, this is likely being discounted as at the rrp it is far too expensive.
Yeah I agree. At full price either get any model webber kettle or step up to the full ceramic Kamado. This new discounted price makes it a consideration vs the premium webber kettle.
Was interested in this. Didn't take long doing my own research to find the huge problems with them, especially if using them for smoking. Looks like you will need to do a few after market mods to get it working correctly and even then it's isn't great.
You are right, there is definitely a reason why they are being discounted and price still seems too high considering work needed after purchase
These are amazing! Have been smoking for a while now and this is a great way to go if you don't want to spend $1k+ for a top of the range model.

Feel better about my aldi ceric kamado now that I realise this deal is a steel kamado with ceramic firebox
I have a series 3 Kamado Joe - It's pretty crazy that you get the better stand, side tables etc on the kettle model. Goes to show how much the markup on the ceramic models must be.
There's a reason why these are being discounted…… probably aren't that good (Ceramic ones are the beez kneez)
