Waiting for Black Friday sales for flight between Melbourne and Chiang Mai?

I'm looking at flying from Melbourne to Chiang Mai early Jan to early Feb.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday sales, or are prices like to just keep increasing?

Looking at flights on AirAsia, Scoot or Thai Airways. I'm taking my bicycle, so I would utilise any included luggage options.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

  • use google flights. scott's cheap flights has a good guide on how to use them. Scoot normally has some pretty good fares most of the time. Air asia has a big sale on at the moment, so that might be worth checking out. I'd sorta lean to scoot at the moment, they're better than qantas.

  • hmm… may have to loosen your brakes on the bike. Or check special packing for your model/bike type. took a guitar on board and the strings snapped because of altitude. I like kiwi.com as a search site. could try the option of a connection to Singapore or KL. About $450 -550 w/o baggage and $650 or so with 15kg checked. A promo needs to happen to get lower than that imo.

  • Make sure you have good insurance if you value your bike.
