    At this size durability isn't even an issue. It's pretty hard to wear down 2TB of flash with daily use even if it's QLC.
    3 year warranty is nice too

    up to 450mb/sec reads

    It's been a while since I've seen an ssd with advertised speeds below sata III's limits

      Maybe they're just one of the few companies that are honest with their marketing?
      Hahahaha I couldn't keep a straight face saying that

  • Are "slow" SSD's like this still ok for running large games (Flight Sim, DCS etc.) or are they HDD sort of slow?

    • They'll probably never be hard drive tier.
      Unless you have a fairly fast CPU like ryzen 3000 or newer id wager the CPU would be bottlenecking your storage perfomance more but im not certain

      Definitely much faster than HDDs. In this video, we see load times for MS Flight Sim

      HDD = 1min 15.6s
      SATA SSD = 34.25s
      Gen 3 NVMe = 30.65s

      Even with a slower SATA SSD, I'd say maybe 2-4 seconds longer wait at most

  • There is no longer a 1.92TB option available on that link. Largest is 960GB.

    • Only 2 left at 960gb , $85

    Where these drives suffer is when you are copying large amounts to these drives from another fast storage device.

    I bought a 240gb from same brand recently. Installed Windows 11 and was installing other apps when the OS froze. Restarted and found that the SSD couldn't be detected. Plugged in another SSD using the same cables. No issue.

    Returned it to Amazon AU and was refunded on the same day (as soon as Auspost marked it as received).

    Disclaimer: YMMV.
