Centrelink Payment Office Details

Hi all, I've to fill in an Italian form about my Australian foreign age pension and they want to know what "Fund/Institution" pays my pension. I've to choose among these 3 options:
- 001 centrelink hobart
- 002 centrelink hobart
- 999 other
At first I searched this detail in my pension documents but couldn't find neither 001 nor 002 codes anywhere, then I called the Italian pension authority and they answered they just didn't know and I'd have asked to Australian authority, finally I called Centrelink and they answered those codes had no sense for them!

AFAIK Centrelink is the office that pays my pension and Hobart is the town where it is therefore it must be one of the first 2 entries but do you know what the difference is?

Thanks in advance for your help (if any) :)

It looks like those 001 and 002 codes are internal codes for the italian pension authority, there would be no corresponding codes from centerlink that they use in their office that would match.

You will need to somehow find a way to differentiate them, only the italian pension authority should be able to help you.

What difference would it make if you just chose one at random.

ozpensionhotline looks very similar to ozbargain to the untrained eye.

Why the need to even trawl their history in the first place?

Because I too remember reading a thread from someone not living in Australia claiming an Australian pension and it being a topic of controversy.
Were it not for this comment, I would have also had a look at their history to see if it was the same person.

No trawling needed, it is literally their entire history, plus people probably remember the last question about scamming receiving Centrelink in Italy from a week ago.

One thing to look at their history; another to look, link and post. Who cares

Ahh good old ozbargain it's where I come to get all my complex pension problems solved

Since Centrelink is federal, it doesn't matter if there's a specific location attached to a code.

Who cares if you use 001 or 002? If they go to check it with Centrelink, and Centrelink has no idea, then it doesn't really matter.

    Thanks for consulting OzItalianPensions.

The expansion of OzBargain would make wisteria jealous.

    Have you tried asking ItaliaBargain?

  • I know that grammatically.. its correct (I think?).. but it's so weird to see OP use 'have' the way they did.

'I've to'.. is that just me?

Sorry if I ask you these questions, I mean the one in this thread and the other ones in the other threads, but I hope to get some extra help (other than centrelink) from someone who shares my same situation, I mean another foreign pensioner or maybe a pensioner's younger relative who joins this forum.
    Sorry for my grammar too.
Anyway thank @garetz and @Switchblade88 for your tips, I share your opinion and I'll follow it.
