Good, value for money, restaurants under $40 per head (after discount) in Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast?

Hmmm? In Brisbane there are plenty of ethnic eatieres where mains is $15 to $30.
@brisdaz: You didn't state that you have wanted a revolving restaurant that serves ethnic food.
When you said, "I think there's two, buy one is under renovation", I assumed you were wanting high end, as there must be thousands of restaurants that service random food for under $35.

Pizza Citadella is pretty good, though they only have takeaway/delivery atm (you'll probably have to eat on marine parade somewhere)
Chiangmai Thai Restaurant (better off on Broadbeach side, with easier parking) is also good. Was able to fit a party of 12 easily with a booking.
Don't live in gc, but travel up there a couple times a year to visit family.
Matsuzaka Teppanyaki is also good, though you'll need to increase the budget for the banquet. You get your own chef cooking for you, so pretty great for large groups

Surf clubs, pubs, RSL etc all charge about $30-40 for mains these days

Not sure if you are aware or not but the way you phrased the question makes me think I need to point out the Gold Coast is a long way from the Sunshine coast as in 2-3hr drive apart.

This has been suggested to me but normal RRP is $69 - way above budget. Is there a way to reduce it by larger group size?
