20x Everyday Rewards Apple Variable Gift Card - Points Discussion

For those who bought the variable Gift Card and are still waiting for points from the following deal, let's use this forum to inform us about the outcome.

Earn 20x Everyday Rewards Points on Apple Gift Card (Limit 10 Cards Per Day) @ Woolworths

I bought $4500 worth of cards in two separate transactions and am still waiting for points, and the rewards app is showing 0 points against those transactions.

Perhaps I should have waited a little longer since coles brought the same 20x points to deal with Flybuys (which works beyond Coles, e.g. Kmart)

Ts&Cs say 14 business days, I’m not concerned yet. It’s only been a week.

I thought those were $100 max per card? Have they increased?

    • You can buy variable GC and load up to $500 per card

I just queried support on this, they confirmed that i need to wait the 14 days. However all looks good transaction and offer wise so the bonus points should eventually show up.
I did mention all the previous times i have partaken in similar offers the points have shown up within a few minutes of the transaction. I'm not sure why it's taking a long time this round. I have also previously purchased large amounts of gift cards (3-4k worth at a time) and no issues with bonus points or a cap.

I did the same via Twitter and got the same response - wait for the 14 days. I only queried it because previously it was a lot quicker. Will wait and see, but I’m more confident now there won’t be any issues (especially knowing others are seeing the same thing).

  • Woolies is going to introduce "Ghost" stores!
Sack the staff, and kill Coles, every customer becomes a title of new guinea pig!

  • Not sure why the Everyday Rewards bonus point deals for these giftcards is so popular when you can get all your points jacked.
I hit up the Flybuys deals because I can depend on my points actually being there when I go to use them.

    • Yeah, might stay away from these deals in the future. Just got $130 taken from my account yesterday, only switched to dollars off on Monday and the bloody (profanity) are already on to it. Call centre is taking forever to answer the phone…

      • Yeah I have commented warning others a few times.
Basically if it's happened to you already, then it can easily happen again. And if it's never happened to you most likely someone has access and is just waiting for you to get that big basket of points to swipe them from under you.

        • Yeah was wary of it but didn't think it would happen to me and so quickly. Luckily I already used $70 out of $200 on Monday and figured I'll spend the rest by the end of the week. The accounts are clearly not secure enough as they can easily just add any card number to stocards and scan that. They just need access to know how much reward dollars the cards have.

          • @garffi: Yup. The Everyday Rewards hacked thread was one of the first forum threads I read here on ozbargain. When I read it it was already quite old, but the comments being added by people getting their points stolen were posted on the current day at the time.
Ever since then I just don't bother with the bonus offers. I just get the 2x 3x points boosts once in awhile and use it straight away for $10 off the next shop.

At least until Woolworths makes some kind of announcement send via email that they are changing something.
