What has changed with the status support Qantas is providing members with a status end date between June - December 2022?
Previously we offered eligible members who are unable to achieve the Status Credits needed to retain their status a 12-month status extension provided that before the end of their current Membership Year, they made at least one new eligible booking. We’re removing the requirement to make a booking and will now be providing automatic status extensions. Additionally, Qantas will remove the flight booking requirement to qualify for the Status Credit rollover.
Do I need to register to receive the Status Extension or Status Credit rollover?
No, we’ll take care of everything for eligible members and there is no need to call the contact centre.
Membership Ending January - July 2023
What new status support is Qantas providing?
Eligible members with a status end date between 31 January and 30 June 2023 and are unable to earn the Status Credits needed to retain their status will receive a 12-month status extension.
Additionally, Qantas will rollover accrued Status Credits for eligible members up to a cap of at least 40% of the Status Credits required to retain their tier, from their eligible Membership Year to help kick-start their new Membership Year. Please refer to the table below for details on the rollover caps by tier.
