  • The World thinnest Induction Cooktop is also on sale as well. 16mm thinner than a macbook.

    • 16mm thinner than a macbook.

I never knew i could cook on my macbook. Will give it a try on the weekend…

How good is your Induction Cooktop at video editing?

      • I hate to disappoint you jv, I just cracked an egg on my M1 Macbook Pro, and I now have egg running underneath the keys!!!

Maybe it onlyu applies to Intel units?

    • Does the code also work on the other bundle with blade cover?

      • Yes, The code works on every product listed on the website.

  • I've never understood how these things work and if they do a good job of really saving time (while tasting good). ANyone have any experiences?

    • I've only eaten output from, rather than used these machines. Apparently they do good custard. They don't. Apparently they do nice soup. They don't. Probably the recipe was to blame too.

That's the extent of my experience haha. But I'd hesitate spending this much.

      • Can confirm the thermomix does do good custard. I made it all the time. In fact it was probably the best thing about the machine. Perhaps the recipe you had just wasn't right

    • I've used a thermomix before. I don't think they really save time because you can only do one task at a time with it. There's definitely a market for them though and that's people who aren't really interested in cooking but want to cook… if that makes sense. The biggest benefit I saw of using one was consistency. It's incredibly easy to just follow the instructions and get the exact same thing every time. They do a good job of what they advertise they can do (well, the thermomix does at least, can't speak for this one) but you're limited to those things, and if you ever want to customise a recipe or create something without a recipe then you're on your own trying to figure out what settings you need to use for it. That was its biggest downfall for me, because that's incredibly hard to figure out given you don't get much feedback from it whilst it's doing its thing.

    • We have a Thermomix and use it several times a week, often multiple times a day. It’s super quick and easy for a lot of things. There’s many many recipes online so take your pick as it comes down to the ingredients input.

It saves time not standing around waiting and/ stirring, and it’s all in one device. Things like risotto, dough, cake, brownies, soup, Indian food, etc. Sauces and baby food are really easy in it. You can clean while it’s chopping or cooking. Overall, any time saved is in multitasking.

    • +1

They are all just basically blenders / auto stirrers with a heating element. Heavily over priced but I guess marketing is expensive. Well my opinion anyways

  • I have had other alternatives before Themormix and I strongly recommend it than the others based on the cookbooks and simplicity of the UI. Even the accessories are much easier to purchase.

The last 2 I got was Kenwood and another one I forgot the brand but they just stopped updating cookbook and the software eventually.

  • No explodey?

    • Not like thermomix getting recalled in Australia. No MLM Sales. No Middle Man commision. Just for cooking enthusiast. There is a comparison video from HOW TO COOK THAT channel. A full detailed comparison between thermomix and tokit called :

Is a Thermomix TM6 worth the money? | How To Cook That Ann Reardon

      • And what happens when your machine gets recalled? Kickstarter cowboys are more likely to just shut shop & never return to this market than meet legal obligations for recall/refund like TM have.

        • +1

Please do not worry. It is selling on Amazon as well. It is a Brand backed up with XIAOMI. Much bigger than Thermomix. So relax and enjoy it.

          • +1

            @TOKIT: googling Ohhh…it's a Xiaomi brand. Right.

  • I have a thermomix and I detested the sales process. But I’ll be damned if it isn’t easy to just select a meal, turn my brain off, and do what the damn thing tells me. If any other vendor hopes to compete they need that same experience for my money.

Easy all on device step by step cooking with so many things you can just search.

I tried to use a browser to look for a recipe the other day and was reminded all those websites all have cancer. Thermomix has sheltered me from that . Hopefully more competition comes on the market for that aspect

  • It's this an Au version or a UK version?

  • Don't try to build your brand by bagging another, it's a real turn off.

As poorly as TM handled the safety issue, your brand has zero cachet in Australia, it's high risk.

  • Awesome customer service. Very responsive and helpful. I ordered mine but still not delivered. Reached out to customer support and the refunded the difference. Thanks OP. Definitely looking forward to receiving my machine

  • I'm interested in the smart induction cooktop, but the code doesn't work for it. It's also hard to find on your website.
