This is the newer model MQ9187XLI (older model MQ9087X has been cheaper before but is now discontinued). Lowest price so far according to camel.

I think Amazon is price matching jb hi-fi, same price here but no free delivery: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/braun-multiquick-9-hand-b…

Update: JB price is back to normal. Why is it too short?

    • No it's not, I can still add it to cart.

  • Also same price at jbhifi

    • Thanks for letting us know. Prefer to support local business than the world’s richest man.

  • What’s the warranty on these.
Read several reviews now that state the only issue is that they start having problems just after warranty ends.

    • +1

We've had the previous version for quite some time now (just checked, since 2017). No major issues, but we did replace one piece of the large processing bowl-was easy and relatively cheap via the Braun online spare parts store. This was in 2021, so long past warranty expiry.
Ours gets good use, primarily the large and small food processor bowls, and the grating inserts are a huge timesaver for us. The whisk/soup blender/smoothie we rarely use, but have worked fine when called upon. It's a good, convenient device overall.

  • What's the difference between MQ9187XLI and MQ9087X (the "older" model)? Internet doesn't know.

I don't like how having to press two buttons (the huge top one and the side one) tires your arm when operating. Also the "mashing" tool included is strangely useless - has anyone use it more than once?

    • +1

You don't have to press the two buttons at the same time - press the top to "release" and the main button to run.

I did use the mashing tool for potatoes and it works really well!

      • +1

I've just tried the top button and you are right! I've been doing it wrong.

        • +1

Oh, man, you must have been having some bad times! Glad it's better now!

    • I think the old one is only 1000W. This one is 1200.

      • I checked the Amazon listing and my device. Mine was bought ~2 years ago for around $150, it's Braun MQ9087X MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender, 850-1100W with the same accessories, but they refreshed the design a little and the there's the "pulse" function on the top button, from what I see.

Doesn't seem like worth updating if you already have the older one.

  • It sounds like this one has the new safety switch on it which means you need to hold it down first then hold down the main button. Heard through reviews that this is pretty annoying and for some, difficult. Any thoughts? Is it a pain to use? We have a 10+ year old Braun and it’s great.

    • new safety switch on it which means you need to hold it down first

If it's so, it's a few-years-old-new now. Also see my comment and replies just above re the usage. Today I learned!

  • Would have liked to get from JB as it's easy for warranty , but local has no stock

    • Go to your local David Jones. They are willing to price match it.

  • Says it can't deliver to my address, is everyone getting this error now or is it because I'm not in a capital city or something?

    • amazon ….lets me add to cart, so not stock problem …..I'm 12km from Melb ……
JB …. local had no stock.

  • +1

Bought this model a couple of years ago from TGG, worth every cent! Strongly recommended.

    • I had the multiquick 5, lost some parts in house move …. so have ordered the 9, great price …..

  • Looks like JB price has gone back up to $300.

I just ordered from Amazon. It had a promo for $10 credit upon signing up to Prime, so I did that (I think it was $6.99 for a month, not a $49/year thing). So $145..

I live rural, I couldn't get it to ship here (PO box or street address) - I had to ship to my father in law's place (suburbs).

    • Yeah so quick, and I was thinking to get it from JB 5 days later using the 15% off gift cards.

    • Just got one in store at JB, still $155. Apparently its a catalogue special..

      • +1

If it is catalogue special, wouldn't it last for one or two weeks? What is the start day for JB new catalogue?

        • You'd think so. I asked someone if it was still on sale - they pointed at the shelf sticker that said it was a catalogue special and repeated it. Clearly they were wrong.

  • Thanks OP, had my eye on this for quite a while. Bought one!

  • back to normal price on amazon $269 & $299 at jbhifi - got one earlier today from Amazon thanks OP!

  • Gosh just missed out it’s not in the catalogue too

  • Damnnnnn in the market for one of these!

    • I know, I also missed a couple of lower priced deals of the older model. These kind of products are seldom on special, or don't get much attention or votes. Even if somehow they get to the front page, they will be out of stock pretty quickly.

  • I just got one delivered (ordered via jbhifi) but it wasn’t sealed, was anyone’s the same?

Is the cardboard advertising inside the food processors normal? I’m worried I got the display stock!

Also what exactly should be in the box? The instruction manual doesn’t state what is in the box just what may be in the box depending on the model.

    Thank you 😀

  • I got one from Amazon. Yes, the box is not sealed. Only the small slicer inserts are sealed.
    What cardboard advertising?
I could not find the "what's in the box" list as well.
