Where to Find: Extendable Window Cleaner Pole

Hi guys,
What do you all use to clean windows that are high? I own a two story house.
I have 3.4m ladder as well but I’m looking for a good quality window cleaner (with squeegee if possible unless there is a universal connector at the end of the pole) with EXTENDABLE pole up to 3-4m.
Metal or fiberglass pole is a bonus so it can last long.
Please provide links if you have it handy.
Have a great day :)

    I bought this.

Squeegee was a bit of a let down initially, but realised my technique was off. Initially a bit hard to use with accuracy when so far away, but got used to it after a few uses.

    Best hose windows first.

I also use this to clean my solar panels that are within reach.

I did come across this before I put out the post but it doesn’t have that universal connector so if I break the pole or squeegee then I’ll need to buy same type and they may or may not be around in 2-5 years time.

      • universal connector may have changed in 2-5 yrs time too… just buy what you can get and be happy for now

I have this, works pretty good, but squeegees at a distance take time to get technique right.

    • That’s not long enough. I already have this.

    • Do you think I can’t do a google search if I can write up a para and post it here?
I have done the search. Just want a product recommendation from those who have used it.

  • it's mission impossible to clean a window with a 3-4m pole. I much prefer moving around the ladder and using a short extension.

    • That’s what I will do but some windows are very high so just want to cover those as well but I will be using the ladder as well

      • Sounds like we have similar window challenges to solve for. Would love to know what solution you end up settling on.

I'm dreading the cleaning job so much I'm contemplating just paying for a professional to do it for me. Due to perimeter fencing and landscaping I can't even get my head around safe ladder placement for the windows at our place.

        • Ended up buying sabco 3.6m pole from bunnings.

          • @bhunter101: Thank you. Seems like a good option if it's as strong as it claims to be. What are you screwing on the end that makes contact with the glass?

  • iamherenow is not wrong. At 3-4m the pole is unwieldy and/or weak. Heavy shoulder workout too.

I don't live in a double storey but if I did, I'd try a magnetic window cleaner like this: https://www.amazon.com.au/Australian-Magnetic-Window-Suitabl…

      Great if the windows open.

We have a six large second-story windows which are non-opening and can only be accessed (on the outside) by a ladder.

Your other option is to just clean them from inside - I can remove the sliding window section quite easily at my new house and clean both sides, then clean the non-removable centre section (exterior) with a short window cleaner.

      If they are hinged/sliding.

  • Windex 750ml Outdoor Surface And Glass Cleaner, attaches to the end of a hose, used it to do the 2nd storey windows when I lived in sin city, small courtyard with no room for a ladder.

  • I bought from cleanersgallery ebay 2 level professional 3.6m telescopic aluminium pole. Works well. $52.
