Kenwood Mixers Differences between Models

Are there any experts on Kenwood mixers?

What are the differences between the models? For example, KVL6500 and KVL8500. Bing Lee sells the first one for $550 and the latter one for $700. Is the difference mainly due to the accessories in the box?

  • Warranty if you look at the Myer website.

Yeah the main difference I can see is all the accessories are stainless steel for the KVL8500, which means that they should stand up to a bit more abuse like putting in the dishwasher, which you can't with the aluminium ones. The bowl also has a handle on the KVL8500, I have the KVL6500 and it can be harder to grab onto / pour (only a minor inconvenience).

    • Are you happy with your Kenwood?

      • I am very happy with my Kenwood KVL6100. Not the exact model you're looking at but I've been able to to a lot with in and found the slow juicer and chopping attachment to work really well. It's seen a few years of use and I haven't had any issues with the unit or any attachments.

      • I've only had it for a couple of months after upgrading from an older Kenwood that died. This one has a longer warranty so expecting it'll last longer. Been good so far for bread/pizza dough & cakes.
