Did not enjoy this, I got a refund on Steam. Nice graphics, but full of gimmicks, too stressful, chaotic narrative is forced down your throat.
The game opens with you being stabbed to death and nothing you can do about it. Not a great start. They're trying to be different and edgy, but I wasn't having it.
It's not great… there is a reason it's been part of bundles and is included in subscription services. All style and very little substance.
I got about 20 hours in on PlayStation before I gave up. Bethesda simply cannot do controller based FPS and I probably spent about 2 of those hours messing with settings before I discovered that the game is significantly easier with all controller assistance turned off (and I am not good at aiming with a controller).
I recently got in on PC through a key trade because I liked the world enough that I wanted to see the story through, and it was clear the game would be much better with keyboard and mouse. It turns out it's even better still if you enable the 'one shot kill' setting… but then that kinda removes any incentive to collect all the cool guns with was half the fun.
And then I found out that to run in on a 2060 you need to use low quality textures and the game looks garbage.
Thanks used this with the latest $10 perk member and got it for $9.
Currently waiting for me to pick it up when I get back home! Woo!
Just be aware on PC you need more that 6GB VRAM or the game looks trash. Playable, but trash. Why they didn't include a 'medium' texture set is beyond me.
