  Love cheap Guinness! It's good for your blood iron, and esp. for those who can't tolerate large amounts of beer (ouch, my gout!).

  I got a slab of Guinness for $45 on special at BWS in Melbourne this week (labelled special though not on their website now). Probably should have posted it as this is the second cheapest price I have scored Guinness; the cheapest was $40 due to a pricing error! Normal 'good' special is $50 (i'm saving my first post for something that gives my wallet a stiffy and there aren't only 3 of).

  The only negative about beer/stout specials is the rate of consumption tax :)

    Awesome! According to Boozle, all the BWS and Woolies have the Guinness on special for $45 (Woolies own Dan Murphy and BWS). Dan's have stopped showing Guinness on their website; I asked them why in an email last week and received the reply - "Currently we cannot display Guinness Draught 440mL cans on the Dan Murphy’s website due to a system limitation regarding different carton sizes being available in different states across the country."

    Dunno what that means, they've had it on their website for years, and Guinness has always been sold in 440mL cans. In the last year or so, they've moved from 4 packs to 6 packs, but that shouldn't affect the slab webpage. Eh.

    I haven't seen Guinness this cheap since never! Just in time too, I'm celebrating an anniversary of an Irish friends passing tomorrow. Rest in Peace, Ed Hayes! Go mbeannaí Dia duit!
