I had visited the EB Games and the major supermarkets around, looks like every store had run out of the Steam cards for these two to three weeks already. Is anyone experienced this?
Donno if I going to stockpile some of the Ultimate or TCN card so I can buy some once they’re available again.

Not for gifting, it’s used to add them to my account and buy the discounted games
Are you buying the Steam cards because/when they're on special? If not, you know that you're able to pay for games or add Steam credit with your credit card as well? They're not the only way of purchasing games

I have a level 2 card now and all I use it for is returning pre-owned games. And it looks like there aren't many of them around anymore anyway.
@CascadeHush: no idea, just for the prestige hahaha. i think im a level 3 or 4 but i only utilised it when there was that trade in ps4 control deal 2 years back.
My local didn't have any for awhile but I went to another outlet (guess more popular shopping centre) and they had the $20 ones.
Oh you're in Perth, I just got them from Carousel last Thurs.
Maybe people stocking up knowing that the BF sale was coming.. also for early xmas shopping.
I haven't noticed myself, so I can't comment specifically. Last one I bought was about 6 weeks ago and they had plenty of stock here.
Eventually I've bought some Steam cards in Perth City in $100 denomination on last weekend.
And for this week I am looking for the Steam cards again for now, many of EB Games stores are running out of the Steam cards.
Just visited several major retailers, there’s some sort of Steam cards are back to stock, the notable stuffs is they have a brand new denomination in $35, which is in purple colour. So far haven’t see any $100 (green) denomination are in stock yet.
I've been noticing my local Woolworths have absolutely none of late, Coles have the $20 ones no dramas. But the $35 and $50 versions are also sparatic.
none at all in my town and they have no idea when they are receiving stock.(woolies cheapaschips kmart reject shop drakes target servos)
