  • There are lot of other deals too…for eg Samsung 4k projector ( cheaper compared to Jbhifi)..

    https://www.videopro.com.au/product/samsung-the-premiere-las…

    • $2999.50 on EEP

      • Link please…

        • Samsung Enterprise Portal. I can’t link you.

Seems like it could go cheaper than this. I believe the CF TGG Deal was better.

    • Could be, OLED is out of my budget and I am not following prices, but when I looked at this one, I thought fellowozbarganier may be interested..

  • +1

I would probably go for LG C2 77" as that will be cheaper considering there is not much difference between G2 and C2.

Videopro had this listed for $6490 last night for a few hours, guess they had second thoughts…

Makes me wonder sometimes, how much profit margin they have on such products 😬

      • +1

Generally very little at the store level, ~3-5% less after any negotiation. Stores and salespeople are likely to make more profit selling a HDMI cable or a $199 no name brand 32" than a $7,000 premium TV. Broadly speaking the landed cost to customer including all overheads (freight, power, staff etc) is ~50-60% of RRP, but that margin is eaten up by the supplier/distributor and corporate head office in the chain before it gets to a store.

Nearly all price movement is subsidised by the supplier/manufacturer either through sell-throughs (eg $1000 rebate for every unit sold over the black friday period) or price protection (eg xx company is selling for $2999 and that's below cost, supplier will fund the difference - which they were likely doing for the other company anyway).

For $100 more, you can get the 83" C2 version of this TV from VideoPro: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/739100

  • Would anyone know why this site (and JB) will no longer open in Chrome on my android phone?

    Used to be fine.

Still work fine on my desktop.

    :(

Yeah, G2 prices have gone back up over black friday. I paid $5,900 for my 77 G2 a week ago at JB.

    • thanks for the heads up mate!

    • That's a good price you got. I'm waiting for the G2 83" to replace my blurry 2007 Pioneer 50" Plasma (not j/k)

Anyone have an idea what the best price has been been over the last few months for the LG 83" G2 for comparison?

      • +1

Wow, 83" is a beast! I upgrade from a 65 GX and while its all very familiar, the G2 is step up vs that model.

Funnily enough, there has always been better deals on the 65" and 83" models. For a while there every model was on sale aside form the 77"! Best deal so far has been from The Good Guys with their 20% off sale.

At the moment Video Pro has the 83" for $9,450 where as JB is still listing the 77" at 8,995!. Most retailers still listing the 83" at $12k +

    • Hi mate, would you mind posting up receipt with personal details blanked?

      • +1

        Sure mate,

Can dig it out…. silly question but can you post an image within the threads here?

        • +1

I don’t think that is possible, unfortunately. Might need to PM it, if that’s okay?

          • @Frequenter: It appears PM is no different to this, can't attached anything other than weblink

            • @BB-AU: I appreciate you trying. I attempted to send you a PM in the hopes you could shoot me an email, but you do not accept PMs. If you're open to this, would massively appreciate it. If not (and that's totally understandable), would you consider uploading the receipt to something like Imgur, and sharing the link? It's just an insane price, and I don't want to spent more than necessary! Cheers.

              • @Frequenter: Hey mate, PMs turned on, flick me your email and i'll send it over, checked the receipt and it was $5,936 + a small deliver fee but you might not need that one.

                • @BB-AU: Sent just now! Thank you!

                  • @Frequenter: How did you go with the JB store? Im in Sydney and couldn't get any of my local stores to honour the same price.

        • has been sent, checked the receipt and it was actually 5,937 but close enough ;)

          • @BB-AU: @BB-AU Hey, would you mind sending the receipt to me as well. I sent you a PM. Looks like JB have raised their prices again back to 9k.

          • @BB-AU: Would you mind sending the receipt through to me please?

    • +1

I would also love a receipt (with your details blanked) if you can manage it, got a guy at JB who says they will match receipts from another store.

    • Hey, could I get a copy too please with your details blanked. Thank you.

  • +2

I got JB Hifi to do a price match when videopro had it around $6490 + postage. Ive got a valid cart link for them for $6539 if anyone wants it, valid until midnight tonight. I assume it can only be used once so first to pm me gets it (also assuming it's not tied to my name/email address but Im not sure about that)

    • I would love this! If no one has claimed, I’ll take it. Thank you.

  • $6888 at JB from Friday

  • This is now down to $6,650 + delivery on VideoPro (same link)

    • …and the 65" is $3450.

  • I got this product from Harvey Norman with 5yrs extended warantee + free delivery + wall mount installation for $6586

This is what i did, i negotiated the TV price and harvey norman agreed to give me the TV for $6500 + the 5 yr extended warranty was $1000 so my total came to $7500 with everything including delivery and wall installation.

As part of purchase they gave 10% cashback ($650) so i asked them to use the cashback to reduce the warranty cost of $1000. so in return my waranty cost was reduced to $350. So my total that i needed to pay was $6500+ $350 = $6850.

I also got $6600 worth of 4% discount harvey norman gift cards for $6336 from flareHR (company perks). So $6850 - $6600 = $250

    So i paid total $6336(gift cards) + $250 (cash)= $6586

    • Hey mate, would you mind PM'ing a receipt with all that, with your personal details removed of course? Was it a Harvey Norman in NSW?
