Samsung T37F 24" Monitor, 1080p IPS 75Hz Freesync $159 Delivered @ Samsung Store

60

Have been looking for a basic 24" 1080p monitor for general use and occasional gaming and came across this on sale direct at Samsung.

Probably not the flashiest monitor but has an IPS panel, freesync, displayport and HDMI, VESA mounts, and a 3 year warranty from a known brand. No height adjustability in the stand or speakers is probably the biggest detractor.

27" version is available for $199 too, but 24" still the sweet spot for 1080p for me.

I was hanging out for the Dell S2421HS to get to around $150 delivered again but seems that's not happening.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

  • Anyone who still wants a 24" monitor should be buying second hand.

    • Why?

Way cheaper for one, and there's tonnes out there, so many that people can't sell them. They should stop making them this small as they are just headed for landfill

I literally got one for free from my friend who worked IT projects at a school. It was still working fine but the school wanted to throw them out…

@Grey 13: Businesses and orgs can be the worst at recycling. No one wants to pay someone's wage for them to find someone else to use their stuff. I have seen so many instances of people chucking out perfectly good electronics it's heartbreaking.

On that note, you can just about freeload anything these days from hard rubbish on the side of the road. Bikes, fridges, printers, lawn mowers, someone's upgraded and chucked perfectly good ones or ones that need hardly anything to get going, e.g toner, or a bike tube. It's tragic to see people buying kmart bikes here when they could just go for a drive and pick one up for nothing, stick a new tube or tyre on it for 5 bucks and it's good to go
