I have bought iPhone few months back. As you would know Apple makes it difficult to play offline music without subscription. Can you please suggest a music app on iOS that satisfies following criteria
1. Free app or one off purchase requiring no monthly subscription
2. No ads while playing music
3. Should be able to play offline mp3 files
4. Should be able to create a playlist
5. Should be able to play music in the background.
6. Should not stop while using another app.
I have tried VLC, offline music, etc., but they can’t play music in the background. Plenty of choice on android but struggling to find one on iOS. Btw, I want to play legitimate free mp3 songs available on internet such as devotional songs. Thank you all in advance for your suggestions.

I have taken youtube premium (india). It doesn't work when you are not using vpn.
That's not correct. I've been using YouTube Premium for almost 4 years now (Signed up via India's VPN). Both YouTube and YouTube music app works without any VPN. I pay around $20 a year.
On the day I was returning from India, I created an account using local sim (selected Indian address). Requested my brother who lives in India to subscribe youtube premium and add my lndian gmail account in the family. However, I was not able to enjoy premium benefits after I returned to Australia. Not sure why.
You could give “Flacbox” a try. I am using the Premium (one time payment) version though and can’t remember what was in the free version. But I liked the free version enough to pay for the Premium to remove the on screen ads. The main reason I got Flacbox was the ease to transfer MP3 from my laptop to iPhone via wifi.

You can do all that you want to with the apple music app. You just need itunes to transfer the mp3 to iphone.
