I have a few ultimate everyone variable load, loaded at $500 each. When I tried to convert to egift on the website to place an online jbhifi order, it said we dont recognise that card number. Same error for all of them. They all are activated successfully with the slips to prove it. What on earth is going on here? Anyone else had trouble exchanging these cards for egift lately? I'm new to bargaining, so go easy on me.

It means you've fallen for the trap of buying gift cards to attempt to save money, but it has backfired on you.
Hasn't backfired at all. But nice try, I can still use in store. I simply wanted to avoid the Black Friday shopper parasites.
Where are you entering the Ultimate gift card details on the checkout page?
I'm not entering them anywhere on a checkout page. I'm using the "exchange for egift" function on the ultimate gift card website.

You cannot exchange an Ultimate Everyone gift card for a JB Hi-Fi gift card through the exchange for egift function on the Ultimate gift card website, because exchanging for JB Hi-Fi is not an option. (It says this on the UItimate Everyone gift card webpage if you click/tap on See how you can shop with our partners below and select Exchange Card.)
If you want to “convert” your Ultimate Everyone gift card into a JB Hi-Fi gift card, you will need to use the Ultimate gift card to purchase a JB Hi-Fi gift card directly from JB Hi-Fi. You can read more about this here, but keep in mind JB Hi-Fi’s fraud detection systems may cancel your gift card orders. My linked comment refers to Ultimate Home eGift Cards, but it also applies to physical Ultimate Everyone gift cards.
Oh, I just assumed when it literally said on the packaging of the gift card "use in store, use online, exchange for participating retailers egift" that they would remain true to their word. I guess not then. Will have to battle the crowds in store😭 with these understaffed circus shops
