My 2 cents. I had a 'winter weight' (500gsm) Jason non-washable wool quilt that was great. When I needed a replacement I went to get another and had a look at a 350gsm Jason. It was so thin it almost felt like a quilt cover with no filling. Like a thin sleeping bag.
I ended up with a linen-dreams 'woolcomfort' washable 700gsm for $82. It has been excellent for me all year round. I ordered non-washable, but they sent a washable. The wool in a washable is maybe a little more 'crispy' feeling, but I'm super happy with it. The Jason had a bit more initial wool smell, but that all goes away with a bit of time. I might eventually pick up a 350gsm wool or cotton quilt for the height of summer.
