How are people extracting the most value from this? Couldn't make it work 4 years ago.

    • Haven’t used it in a long time tbh. But might come in handy for hotel bookings over the holidays, that was where we got the best value out of it.

    • Was normally pretty easy. 1 trip to the butcher. 1 free main at a restaurant. Didn't need to use too often.

      • Yup.
Over $300 saved on my last one.

Mostly 2 for 1 restaurant deals.

Anyone else a little suspicious about the drastic price drops perhaps a sign that they may be disappearing soon just like deliveroo?

    • Same here. I'm not sure how many people still rely on these "books" since people can google deals/reviews online easily. Merchants pay them and offer discount to be promoted? It might be much cheaper just advertise on Google map

Tbh. I find this far more simpler than ‘googling’ deals.

        Out with my partner.
They ask: what do you want to do for dinner.
        Me: just one moment…
Me: here’s the options near us.
They reply: ok.. let’s go here.

So when you ask who ‘still relies on these’..
We don’t ‘reply’ on them, but as we get our money back from just going to a couple of restaurants, we ‘enjoy’ using it.

  • I easily paid these off years ago just with the coffee vouchers with my wife

Then as each year went by, they kept disappearing.

    • Haven’t used the physical voucher book for decades.
The app is much easier to use and saved over $300 on last year’s membership

  • If a restaurant has multiple locations like pancakes on the rocks. Do you get to use once at any of the locations. Or can You use once per location?

    • +1

Once at any location. It's also best to double check if the location you want to use accepts the voucher. Some franchisees accept, some don't.

And often on days they change their minds to suit, be it fathers day, mothers day etc etc

        • Unlike the restaurants themselves…..not.

Best way was buy one main get one free.

Literally paid off in 2 dine outs.

I don't really use it anymore, The Fork has 30-40% off sometimes which is probably better but limited.

No idea what restaurants take part anymore.

    • Still heaps in brisbane.

When I add up what I’ve saved using these (on/off) over the last few years, I could buy this deal and never use it and still be ahead.

Offers are surely depleting. Barely any 2 for 1 pub offers in Adelaide, no subway offers.
2 for 1 price on entertainment book could still be value, 25% off at a couple of place should make it worthwhile.

    • Now see, it’s so easy for some ozbargainers to downvote things here that sadly it can be misinformation for many others.

      1) you state that ‘offers are surely depleting”
      2) you state that your experience is limited to:
-one state (in reality possible only a small subsection of Adelaide)
-only two types of offers: pubs and subways.

So here’s a counter argument for you:
      1) I use it in brisbane and Gold Coast (heaps of 2 for 1 and 25% off deals)
      2) I’ve used them in other states and also found value for it.

  • Anyone got their second account yet?

    • Not yet. Today's the last day on their email they say we should expecting it. Looks like might have to chase them up. Don't get why they don't just send it out together with the first one.
