No, these headsets are so dated now… but no one knows any better and keep paying. It's a weird market sometimes.
It was between SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7x and the Astro a30 for me. Even with mixed reviews I'm willing to give it a go.
Any alternatives that offer same/better specs and connection options? Suggestions are welcome. Thank youCurrent alternative is the Audeze Penrose, and when lower latency, higher quality bluetooth hits the market next year, the superior option will be any regular bluetooth headphone of sufficient audio quality. At that point, manufacturers will be able to assign the mic more bandwidth to deliver good input to your PC.
Typical recommendations would be AKG, Shure and Sennheiser in that case. Others will squawk about Sony but they've been focused on IEMs for years. AKG would be the front runner if they can formulate a genuinely good update to the AKG K371 BT.

The clamping force gave me a headache nearly instantly.Standard headphone bend/stretch did nothing? I would assume it's an issue of width rather than height.

I requested it through JB Hi-Fi's Live Chat and they said they couldn't because 'Mighty Ape is based in New Zealand'. TIA.
