Space Saving VESA Monitor Arms

Hi! I am looking for a good vesa arm setup for my desk to save some space, holding up two 27" monitors, but most vesa arms seem to take up a lot of depth, especially behind the desk, meaning I would need a large gap between the desk and the wall, or have the monitors protruding far out onto the desk itself taking up a lot of space.

Could I get any suggestions for a setup that would avoid this problem? The budget is about $200
thanks!

thats why i always write on every dual arm deal, please buy 2x singles and thank me later….
    dont regret like me

    • oh why?

      • Better flexibility. I took ChiMot's advise and got 2 separate North Bayou F80. Works great and no regrets!

        • what made you choose the f80's specifically over cheaper options? and where did you get them?

          • @bakednoodle: F80 is quite popular in OZB. Watched a few videos on it before I bought one about 2 years ago. Liked it so much that when I needed a second one, I got another F80.

      • because with dual when you try to adjust the arms you will hit the wall behind, well unless there is plenty spaces between desk and wall, or your desk is super deep. just trust me (and others) - it will be VERY HARD to imagine now but when you get set it up then you will like oh SH*****

        • this is exactly what I want to avoid! my friend got a dual one that semeed pretty good, but then had this exact problem

how does having two singles avoid it though?

          • @bakednoodle: duh because you can move the single pole away…

i know people say but 1x dual is cheaper - dont do it. you better eat instant noodles for 5 days to make up buying 2x singles if you really cant afford extra $20

and dont ask which one to buy get North Bayou spring gas $39.xx each

I just set up my desk over the weekend and have the NB F80 monitor arm, it actually doesn't stick out behind the desk that far. At most 1cm

You can even flush mount it, if your table has a hole for it

Heaps of videos on youtube if you want to see for yourself

    • thanks! will go with f80 then!

      • i cant help in details but i just have a feeling that NB H80 will be better than F80.
have a look and decide your self. both are ok

        • looking into it rn!

      • let me know if you are still looking for f80s.
I have 2 brand new ones still unopened.

    • its because you have single. thank god of ozb for that

  • my GF recently went with 2x single VESA arm mounts (bought at officeworks) - due to WFH … she mounted them on each side of the desk. Think her monitors are 32"-34" from memory,

When in use, she has them directly infront of her, when not in use … she swings them both out to either side.
Main reason she went with this config … she often uses her desk space for other things : craft/designing/drawing.

Benefit of this (in terms of OP) is that the desk can be hard up against the wall.

    • Hmm that does sound good, although I do have a laptop stand on one side of my desk that might block doing that…
