Philips Hue Tap Dial Switch (White) $63 ($16 off RRP) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi FI

150

Not the world's deepest discount, but its a new item, $94.95 and out of stock right now on Hue's Australian website.
If you have a perks voucher, it brings the C&C total down to $53.

I have been using the Hue 4 button remote for a long time, but this one adds the ability to dim using an analogue dial, very wife/child/parent friendly.

Looks like stock is starting to thin about in some stores, so get in quick.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

Looks nifty, but wow I can't believe how expensive a switch is

  • Note you'll need the bridge to customise what the buttons do. Without the bridge you pair the lights directly to the switch

    • I’ll see how it goes with deconz, I have a bridge lying around somewhere in case but I prefer deconz.
Hue support is pretty good in deconz

      • hello mate, have you got any experience in getting the dial to work in Homebridge / apple HomeKit environment?
I've been trying to map the vol+/- button to change brightness but there's no workaround other than using a stupid if loop. thanks heaps

        • Haven't collected the C&C order yet…
Why would mapping it in HomeKit be an issue?
IF you're using Zibee lights, the coordinator should be able to handle it…

All that being said I don't have it yet.

Looks like it's well documented in DECONZ:
          https://github.com/dresden-elektronik/deconz-rest-plugin/iss…

  • Can you map a button to functions like Starting Hue Sync?

    • It seems likely in either hue or iConnectHue, however I don’t have one yet

I like the original hue tap, kinetic, no battery
