Toaster Recommendation Please

I missed the $80 kettle and toaster just before Black Friday …. And hoping Black Friday would bring some more bargains in …. Alas it did not happen :(

So I did a quick search and the Kmart $45 https://www.kmart.com.au/product/4-slice-toaster-white-43017… seems the best bet atm.

Anyone have any recommendations for a 4 bread toaster ?

Toast away :)

Me too. Still waiting for another Delonghi 40% code.

Recommended this one before and still do so. 5 years on and still working solid. Cheaping out will cost you more in the long run.

    • Pretty sure I also have this one and got it about 5 years back too. Still works great.

    • I have one of those as well. They are a grouse toaster & I always buy a breville toaster,
but if you want to buy cheap, get one from K-Mart; they are still a good toaster, but Breville is best

    • We have the 2 slice version and it has also been excellent
      .

    • @Hybroid Don’t mind cheaping out on a toaster as I use it maybe 2 or 3 times a month. My last one lasted for over 15 years. It was a no name and definitely can’t remember how much it was.

In saying that there was a brand new Breville on marketplace for $30 … I told the seller I wanted it and asked what model it was … she then said I was wasting her time and block me … #shrugs

    • many reviews on jbhifi said bread uneven toast came out 1 side brown 1 side white, need to flip and retoast for 2nd time ?

Haven't had that issue, pretty even toasting on both sides. Maybe there was a defective batch or something.

$166 if you match at good guys and use $20 off student voucher. I'm sure someone could give you a code if you need.

I had one of these. Worked well, until one sides buttons started playing up and would only work part of the time. Was after a few years but it wasn't that old.
Ended up replacing it with the same Kmart one the op linked to (as wasn't in the mood to drop $200 on a replacement) and, apart from the fancy lights and motorised up/down….well, it still makes toast :)

      • got mine for about 13ish years. still works even though i rarely use it anymore.

  • i want one of these, however can't bring myself to paying this much for a toaster

    amazon

    • At that price I would want it to butter my toast too

  • Does toast taste 'that' much different between say an over $100 to an under $50 one?

That being said, my toaster is like $25 - I have it set to '1', and might toast a piece of bread 3 times to get it where I like it. Setting it to '3' doesn't give the same result… Maybe that's where the extra $$$ goes.. 3 is 3x1 as opposed to some other level.

    • I’m currently using a sandwich machine (which is doing my partners head in) but it comes out great and even :P
