    Targeted?

  • +2

I think it may be targeted. Didn't show up for me.

  • +3

Do they do direct-to-boot for 1 mango?

    • isn't it $50 min purchase?

      • +1

        $30

    • +6

If you do a C&C for 1 mango it's more likely to be direct-to-face!

    Where is the boost button?

  • I'd rather pay $2 for the R2E2 on sale right now rather than eating that bland but good looking calypso. Kensington is already rather disappointing this year so I don't expect Calypso to be better than their usual bland taste.

    • +9

Wha? Kensingtons have been outstanding this year. Colour is a little off but they taste heaps better than last year and even the year before and they’re not soft as soon as you buy them

    • +4

Not sure what you are talking about. R2E2 is the blandest variant out there - juicy but no flavour. The trick with the Calypso is to eat it when it's still red and firm, so the sour refreshing taste comes through.

      • Not this year, woolies is selling the bunch of R2E2 for $2 each and the bunch of them has fared well, not bland as usual and even sweeter than kensington I bought this week. I found Kensington around me very pale in colour this year and more than half at the sour end and more fibrous. It looked much better last month when I was in Gold Coast so they must've gotten the better batch

      • +1

Ate 2 R2E2 this week. One was sweet 😋 the second was bland. So they vary.

    • +4

Honey gold is my fav, followed by KP. R2E2 is literally the most bland overpriced large mangos.

      • Same here lookin fwd to HoneyGolds, know when they’ll be in the market?

        • +1

Usually mid to late December, it's a later season mango and usually in store up to early feb

    • I found Kensington has been disappointing as well…

  • +4

WHERE ARE MY FREE STUFFS ? HUH everyone has failed me. I need atleast one free to survive and both major retailers have failed me

    • +1

Mine wasn't in the email but was hidden in the app

      • Checked emails & Rewards app - no free mango on multiple cards for family.

        • +1

I’m beginning to think the Coles/Woolies freebies are a myth…

What does a stingy gal like me gotta do to get some freebies?! 😢

          • @stingyass: Almost impossible to know.

            Possibly targeted by location.
People in Qld (like us) & some in NSW didn't receive.

Or spending pattern. (Not being so stingy like us!)
Using my multiple cards (to choose best bonus points offers) - little is spent on each Rewards account. But I'd prefer the bonus points than a mango!

Just received free iced coffees from Woolies - long ago.
            Absolutely nothing free from Coles.

  • +2

    No mango for me :(

  • Q: Where does the man go?
    A: Woolies

How did they know that you were an Ozbargainer?
    🤔

      I think OP meant

"[insert name here], enjoy a free Calypso Mango at Woolworths":

      • +1

oooh.. lol… sorry, I get it now 😆

    • +1

      Yeah, as CricpyChispy mentioned!!

  • +1

I got a free pepsi max with lemon from Coles.

    • same

    • +1

I'd like to get a free lemon too. They can keep the Pepsi.

  • +2

Housemate got this, I didn't. She doesn't buy/eat mangoes. I do. Go figure.

    • +3

That's the point, they aren't rewarding mango buyers, they are trying to create more mango buyers :)

  • I never seem to get the freebies from Woolies, or the one time I did, there was no stock to be had anywhere anyway, so a dud. Have better luck with Flybuys

  • Does anyone have trouble with these freebies? Do they scan as zero once you have scanned your card or do they scan as the price and it comes off invoice?

    • +4

Once you scan, you have to proceed to press Pay, once that happens then it will reduce the item to 0.00. Oh also you need to have scanned your everday rewards before hand. It's pretty simple.

      • Thanks! By any chance, do you know if same for coles? When I do coles online order it never shows as zero when I add to cart

        • +2

          @grasstown

When i use self serve at coles
          the checkout does adjustments
as i scan ( provided i have already scanned Flybuys card)

Had an offer the other day for spice taylor product and it credited before i had pressed payment .

          Hope that helps.

  • +1

No email and not in app either.

  • Nothing for me either.

  • Worth a good laugh, woolies resorting to giving away Craplypso™ because they can't sell themselves - Does KP need a trademark, logo or any marketing????

    • Maybe if people knew their long history… Kensington Pride blog

Kensington was the name of the Bowen Qld property where they were developed.

Kensington Pride was known for decades as "Bowen" or "Bowen Special" mangos.
I grew them & use that name. My favourite mango.

      • KP is convenient abbreviation though - B or BS makes it sounds like the 2nd best or worse ;)

        • We were proud of our great tasting Bowens - so would never abbreviate!

  • Sad when KP goes out of season and they push Craplypso and Sheitt (Keitt) on us

  • I had it in my app. But couldn’t find it in my local store yesterday. Today the offer ended and I can see it in the store now.
