  • Is this safe for a car which has had ceramic coating done?

    • dont be too hard will be fine

      • +4

It should be noted this has a 3 year warranty so keep your receipt in a safe place.

        • +10

better take a screenshot of the receipt and store in on pc and in cloud storage

aldi receipts printing text are known to fade

          • +2

@pinkybrain: Always scan and file imo. I don’t know a receipt that doesn’t fade after about a year

            • @doobey1231: there are some receipts I have that have not faded after being kept for a long time
it just depends on the type of paper used and the receipt printer

aldi receipts are one of the worst that I have owned.
              maybe they intentionally did this
so people will give up trying to claim warranty when they realized their receipt is no longer readable.

aldi's warranty (after 60 days) that is handled by the various companies that supply them is also very bad as well (from my own personal experience)
and they don't know what is is ACL, never heard of it, or just lying about not knowing about it.

              • +1

@pinkybrain: 99% of retail receipts are printed using the same technology - thermal paper. This isn't a deliberate thing, thats just how they work, they all fade. Its not some conspiracy that aldi is trying to get out of honouring warranty(personally they have been the easiest to deal with). Regardless of the various companies that supply them, the returns set up remains the same for most products they sell - return to the store of purchase with receipt, even after the 60 days.

Lastly I am sure Aldi as an organisation is aware of Australian consumer law, maybe the checkout clerk you dealt with didn't know, that doesn't mean the company as a whole doesn't know, thats just silly to suggest that.

                • @doobey1231: didn't say Aldi does not know about ACL..

I was referring to various suppliers of their products.

I mentioned ACL to some of the suppliers and they either didn't know or didn't care
and say sorry it is out of warranty there is nothing we can do about it

                  • @pinkybrain: Aldi =/= their suppliers.

                    • @doobey1231:

                      Aldi =/= their suppliers

                      what you talking about ?

when I say suppliers as in the warranty phone number to deal with warranty which are usually their suppliers contact number or whoever it is

point is many of them deny ACL or knowledge of it
and keep saying sorry it is out of warranty period etc.

                      • @pinkybrain: The point is you are saying Aldi doesn't understand consumer law, but in the same paragraph you are complaining about being denied warranty from their suppliers. Aldi are not their suppliers and their suppliers are not aldi, you need to specify better.

I am not going to provide advice on your warranty issue, as I don't know any details about what you are trying to return, but the majority of what you are saying is entirely inaccurate.

when I say suppliers as in the warranty phone number to deal with warranty which are usually their suppliers contact number or whoever it is

Like this is almost illegible in the way you have written it.

                        • @doobey1231: no as I have just explain further, I was saying the supplier or the warranty number chooses to ignore the ACL
so stop trying to go back to the other comment before that

yeah sure it could have been written more clearly..
but who give a sh&t now, cos I have clarify it further already..

At the end of the day, aldi will tell you to call the warranty department (if it is beyond 60 days returns)
which is effectively goes back to the same issue of the ACL issue when it comes to buying products from aldi.

So if you buy anything from Aldi, past 60 days of return period
good luck if you want to try getting to honour the ACL

Anyway no point continuing with this pointless chat
cos I have made my point clear enough now.

                          • @pinkybrain:

no as I have just explain further, I was saying the supplier or the warranty number chooses to ignore the ACL

So why are you blaming aldi??

                            • @doobey1231: didn't blame aldi in earlier statements as I have already explain to you further which you seem to be not able to understand..

but looking it further now, aldi are part of the issue…
just cos they offshoot it to their various suppliers
should not give them exemption from ACL since they are the seller of the product..

ie if you take the product back to good guys or harvey norman they would have to honour the ACL since they are the seller of the product..
but aldi will tell you call the warranty department.

Aldi may have the best returns within 60 days but beyond that
                              the warranty sucks.
Would not trust to buy anything expensive from them.

Now you should give it a rest…
cos as I said this chat is becoming pointless
and you are too thick to understand the issue.

Always spray at 45 degrees, no matter if coated or not.

  • How is it compare to EasyAquatak 120 (1500W, Max. Flow Rate: 350l/h) which I just bought it.

    • -1

      much better

    • Grab this for 60d (easy return policy) & tell us.

But found this had accessories that fell apart (nozzle) or stopped working (rotating decking brush) before that in a previous Deal - so returned.

  • +1

Very happy with mine. Few years old. Works everytime I need it to.

    • Hey there,

Just wondering this has an adjustable pressure level?

      Thanks in advance

      • +1

        It does not.

      • +2

I'm not aware of any budget pressure washers with adjustable pressure levels at the unit.

Typically this is done by changing tips at the end of the wand.

        • +2

Correct, the pressure is usually adjustable at the tip with a twist, then again you can always "adjust" the pressure by spraying further away

  • I have one.. Works perfectly fine..only issue I have is with water hose.. From tape to this pressure washer.
Already 2 hose reels has been broken due to pressure..
Any suggestions what hose should I buy..
    Thnx

    • Is the hose splitting or just leaking at the connectors?

      • 2 of the hose broken… From the middle.. It burst

        • Cheap and nasty hoses exposed to the weather or good quality hoses protected from the elements?

          • @Muzeeb: It was brand new and on 1st time use it got burst… 😔.. Any suggestion which one I shld buy.?

            • @Tarakm: How much was it brand new?

              • @Muzeeb: Yes. Was brand new from Bunnings
                Nylex

                • +1

@Tarakm: A $30 nylex hose should be ok. I was thinking you may have purchased a $5 no name special.

                  I can't explain the failures.

                  • @Muzeeb: It was $35 but broken..

                    • +1

@Tarakm: Back to Bunnings or whoever for a refund… the high pressure is only on the washer side so that’s a major failure of the hose.

                      • @WhyAmICommenting: Ye.. But while asking to bunnings on suitable hose they said any hose will work.. But 2 hoses already broken..burst… Now I m think whether Should use the Pressure or not..lol

                        • +2

@Tarakm: Shouldn't make a difference. Should be no different to using a low flow nozzle with a trigger.

Maybe your mains pressure is too high, you've just gotten unlucky, or you've been buying some truely horrific quality hoses.

  • I have one from about 7-8 years ago thats still going strong, if I had one complaint its the plastic hose connector - my dads one eventually just snapped right off, having witnessed it i have been extra careful and have not had an issue, works great for cleaning the car or if you have a small balcony that needs a clean up.

  • My one is couple of years old. Working fine.

    • Caught on fire!

      • +4

Just use the hose to put it out

    • Looks like a different unit

  • I have one of these and it’s great. No problems.

  • I bought one last time it was cheap. I would rather spend more get a Karcher. My Karcher lasted me years and years and was of better build quality. The hose winding mechanism is crappy and hard to wind up. It's not very powerful either. The end pieces feel cheap. The tile scrubber brush thing is useless as well. The bit that attaches to the hose connection is cheap and won't seal very well and leaks too. 5c review.

  • mine makes a squealing noise everytime i release the trigger…

    • My Gerni brand one did that. But it died recently after a couple of years :(

  • Is it better than this one JET-USA 2900 PSI High Pressure ?

  • +1

Note that Costco has the karcher k3 on sale for $220
    https://ibb.co/wNP4GJv

  • +2

Very bad quality, bought 1 earlier this year, used once then kept in the storage for months, when i tried to use it again it’s completely died, the pump would not even start. Got a replacement unit from warranty claim, who knows how long it will last this time.

I used to have a Gerni pressure washer bought from Bunnings and it last for years.

My recommendation is don’t waste your money on this crap.

    • +1

why not get a refund it is bad quality and don't trust it will last?

      • -1

        60 days only, bro.

        • +2

          no,

          go read the ACL

  • Can you use this with a bucket?

  • Can I use this as a steam cleaner to get rid of stubborn mould and grime in the bathroom? I've looked into Karcher steam cleaners and they're not good either. I don't want to spend over $400 worth of equipment that I'm only going to use once

    • Have you tried the drill attachments for scrubbing bathrooms etc?

  • Im still using the $50 one I got from Aldi years back, but it has no wheels

  • This or the $119 Ozito 1800W 2030PSI High Pressure Washer from Bunnings? I mainly want to use it for washing my car and few tiles on my porch and patio.
Or should I wait for deals on the Bosch aquatak 125 if that's any better?
