Myer eGift cards on Amazon AU question

https://www.amazon.com.au/Myer-eGift-Card-Delivered-email/dp…

I thought Myer eGiftcards can be used at multiple locations, such as Kmart, Coles etc.

But no such mention on the Amazon AU listing. All it says is "Redeem in-store or online at Myer".

Can you use these eGiftcards at Coles and Kmart as well??

Other official sources of information seem to also not mention any other store apart from Myer.

The Myer gift card you are seeing on Amazon AU is only redeemable at Myer.

Are you thinking of Coles Group & Myer gift cards? That is not sold on Amazon AU, but is redeemable at Coles, Kmart, Target etc.

    • Thank you for the link.

I just had this memory awhile ago of using a physical Coles only giftcard at Kmart and it working. This was a few years ago.
So I thought the Myer only giftcard would work the same.
Maybe they changed things and created that Coles Group gift card.

  • Redeem in-store or online at Myer, I think you solved it op

    • Yeah just had this memory of using the physical red Coles only branded giftcard at Kmart and it going through.
So I thought while it may not be advertised it would technically work.
I understand now that card I linked to only works at Myer.

  • Unfortunately, you cannot even use the Myer GC at Myer to purchase the Coles Myer GC, unless you find an untrained staff member. Their system allows it but it is against their policy and their staff seem to be better trained and more conscientious than the Coles ones who regularly do allow you to do that.

  • Haha, I was thinking about the same. This week Coles has Myer GC with 15% bonus value. Which coincides with CBA reward spend $200 at Coles and get $30 back.

Effectively $230 GC for $170, or 26% off.

But these days rarely shop at Myer (used to), and their GC expires in 3 years. Was thinking to use it to buy Coles Myer GC from Myer. Sounds like no go.

Will probably end up buying $50 x 4 Coles Myer GC from Coles to get $30 back.

    • Will probably end up buying $50 x 4 Coles Myer GC from Coles to get $30 back.

Unless you're giving them away, why not just buy one $200 GC?

      • Yeah, was thinking of in case need to give 1 or 2 away. But did end up activating one card with $200, easier to track the balance.

Everyday Rewards app can save GC and show balance, not such function in Flybuys app.
