Macro Pad under $50?

I'm thinking of getting a Macro pad as a present around the $50 price range but i'm not too fluent in this area. Preferably I would want one already assembled because from my understand unassembled ones need soldering. I was wondering what makes one good?

is something like this okay?

  • You'll want one that supports QMK/VIA otherwise you'll need to install an application from some dodgy Google drive to drive the macros.

    Somethings like this - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004657793571.html?spm=a2…

It doesn't come with keycaps though.

  • I have a 6 key one from ebay that requires the dodgy software downloaded from someone's Google drive that Ryanek mentioned, but yolo.
It works fine for my uses, like muting and ending zoom calls.
    It was under $20.

  • I use this one (dodgy) -

It's an absolute gamechanger in Lightroom and Photoshop - the knobs click in also so you can set them to invert/colour swap or whatever, and change size/feather on the rotary encoders. 3 layers of functions can be toggled on it with a button on the side. Couldn't imagine working without it.

The other one that looked mighty tempting was this -

with 3 knobs, hard to justify buying it now I've got the other one though.
