  • Can you change your current accounts region and switch it back to aus at a later date? Or is it better just to make a new account?

    • +5

I would recommend new account. That way you don't have to lose gold coins and worry about your remaining credits (I'm not sure what gets carried over when changing regions).

The switch allows 8 profiles so it's just easier to have 1 profile for each region (AU/EUR & JPN & USA)

      • -5

Second this option. I think games are region locked too

        • +3

          Games are not region locked

      • +1

Iirc the downside of multiple accounts is being nagged which user profile to use EVERY time you launch any game. I find that very irritating

      • +1

You don't lose gold coins for switching region, they just remain in the region you earned them in and will be there if you switch back to that region . Money on your account is a different issue, you can't change region with any money in your account.

    • +1

You can change your region anytime as long as you don't have any eshop balance on your account

  • Hey OP, thanks for this.

However, going through the developers game library, I have a feeling even if I get all 12 games for free, most will end up like the majority of the free games in my Steam library - unplayed.

Is there anything from the developer that people would consider a must play/should play?

    • +5

No, not a single one, I think.

    • +5

Nintendo platform has always been a magnet of junk…although can’t say other platform is any better.

You sound like you've given up on the OzBargain hoarders way of life…

    • Alders blood. Highly rated. It was the last game on their giveaway last year, don't know if it will repeat.

Actually they've got a couple of games with metacritic scores in the 80s

  • +1

Do you need a VPN to obtain these?

  • +1

Wish these companies would do the proper 12 days, starting on Christmas day. It's more fun getting them over the new year too in my opinion.

  • +1

Games by this publisher listed by Metacritic score if available https://www.dekudeals.com/games?filter[publisher]=No+Gravity+Games&sort=metacritic

Also, if you don't already own one of their games, sign up to the newsletter to get a free copy of Pirates All Aboard https://nogravitygames.com/newsletter

  • +4

I remember they did this same thing last year, and it's mostly shovelware-tier stuff.

  • +3

The first 3 games will be:

    1. Exorder
    2. Graviter
    3. Creepy Tale

If you want to have a guess at what the unrevealed 9 games are, here's a list of games by No Gravity Games.

    • Thanks for the heads up TimeorMoney!

and thanks for the post, dReam10!

  • +6

They want their titles boosted to the top of the popularity chart while also having them listed with a price tag for those who aren't privvy to this deal. I wouldn't want these 12 games permanently listed in any way in association with my account.

  • +2

    Shovelware?

  • +1

EXORDER is still showing as $12.99 for me.
    Has it not started yet?
    *Edited
Might still be the 4th in the US - will try again in a few hours :)

  • +1

What time does this go live?

  • Has anyone had luck downloading first free game as it is already the 5th in the US, I changed my region to US/New York time and it is still showing $12.99?? If there is a workaround appreciate your suggestions. Many thanks to those providing guidance. It is my first time posting a comment.

Oh snap - looking at the promotional video, looks like you needed to add one of their previous games to your Switch to be eligible to get the free games. Could have got one free via their newsletter subscription. Not that this is mentioned anywhere else in the text (that I could see)
    Doh!
    https://youtu.be/UEzqG4Xj2ng

You didn’t add the Pirates: All Aboard code to this account, hence – no owner discount .

For those who missed the game in a free giveaway but want to have other games for free – you can buy the previous games on a sale that starts after the initial 100% 24h discount to complete the collection and rejoin the chain!

Remember that you should claim the games daily on Nintendo eShop.

You subscribe to the newsletter, confirm the subscription, then redeem the code they send you for Pirates All Aboard.

Once redeemed, the first game, Exorder will be free. (It will still say 12.99 until you hit the confirmation page where it will change to "free download")

      • Thank you!

      • I never recieved a second email with a code to download Pirates All Aboard. How long did it take you to recieve it?

        • Only took around 5 minutes for mine. 2nd game is available now so might need to pay $1.99usd for the first to get the rest free.

        • mine found in junk.

  • +1

I downloaded the Pirates: All Aboard game. Still have no idea how to claim the rest for free. Still showing as USD12.99

    • one day one game. wait until tomorrow

    • It says 12.99, but it will change to free when you go to the next page, as if you were going to purchase it

  • +1

    Working now!

  • +12

It didn't work for me until I did the following:
    1. subscribed the email I have for the Nintendo US account to their newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/841f564080b9/nggnewslettergiveaway
    2. after confirming the subscription in an email from them I got
    3. the second mail with a code that I redeemed in:
    4. https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/

After that I went back to the link in this thread, i.e.: https://nogravitygames.com/xmas-giveaway/ and clicked on the first free game, the one available today. I still had a non zero price but the confirmation page was for $0.

    • Works. Thanks

    • Worked! Thanks mate, You’re a legend.

    • Wallachia
    • Tanuki Justice

  • Thank you for posting this deal! I made american accounts for myself and my nephews, we got the Pirates & Exorder so far.

  • No Pirates game after subscribing :-/

  • +1

    New game available!

  • For this still following along with this, game #4 is Destropolis and is available now.

  • Anyone data mined the website for the others? These aren't very good games it's kind of a pain to keep checking each day when it's just junk

  • It's actually kind of a relief that for some reason yesterday's shitty game didn't work. Now I can stop getting games I was never going to play anyway.

    • I can’t get todays game to work. It’s stuck in a loading animation. It’s Star Horizon btw, No idea if it’s any good but hey free stuff.

      • +2

Same here. Incognito tab worked, click on buy > login and it should be $0.00.

        • Thanks mate that did the trick.

        • Thanks Hiphopopotamus, that saved me as well!

  • so the big release of the final game was "Creepy Tale 2"

    • +1
