Kogan Mobile Small 10GB $15 Per Month Prepaid Plan: First Month $0.00 with eSIM, $2.00 with SIM Card (Delivered) @ Kogan

260

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/737322, is a much much better deal, however this plan would be great if the 40GB plan sells out or is ended early by Kogan

  • First Month Free or $2.00 if you need a sim card! Then $15.00 per month there after.
  • No Lock-In Contract.
  • 10GB per month – Up to 200GB rollover
  • Kogan uses the Vodafone Network.
  • Plan set to auto recharge monthly. Call to cancel anytime
  • Free eSIM included.
  • UNLIMITED standard national calls, texts and MMS.
  • All for use within Australia.
  • Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 31/01/2023.

As mentioned in the other thread as well, you need to call up to both cancel the plan, and to disable auto recharge

As a test I activated a service and called twice to test that I could cancel and disable auto recharge.

Not sure if you can remove your credit card details though

I had a spare Kogan Sim that could have been sitting in my draw since the stone age, and I was able to activate the service on it

  • I've been looking for a cheap plan with data for a family member, Circles Life have one with 5GB data per month for $10/month. Not as good $/gb, but a third less per month if all you need is a cheap phone plan with a bit of on-the-go data.

    https://www.circles.life/au/sim-only-mobile-plans/5gb-data-p…

Interestingly Circles Life doesn't even appear on Whistleout - the first time I've looked at that site in a couple of years and they don't show half the plans that are on finder. Wonder what's going on there?

    • +1

If they only need 5gb a month there are much better options out there, without requiring a credit check. Even amaysim has 1 year with 60gb for $99.
Circle life it’s good with initial discounts if you need lots of data.

    • Not bad i use gomo as its 8gb roll over for 15$ a month i only use 2gb but randomly use 20gb from time to time

  • Fantastic thanks. Another menulog voucher cometh my way. Only the calling to cancel sucks. Oh well.

    • +3

And another JB Hi-Fi perks welcome voucher.

    • What's the menu log voucher?

Any other deals like this and the JB perks one I have a couple of numbers now so would be good to benefit from them

  • Is cancelling auto recharge enough?

Do you also have to ask to cancel the service?

  • +2

Kogan no longer let you turn off auto topup online :(

I use Revolut to get a one time card and never have to worry calling to cancel.

    • So this isn’t a contract? They won’t chase us after or affect credit score? That’s great then.

  • i just added a digital prepaid card when activating it with $1. are you sure you have to call up to cancel it? btw when does offer expire?

  • Do they offer international roaming options

  • can someone please help me understand the esim process. i activated my esim through the phone, didnt manage to port my number but no matter. but i have no idea how to manage this esim account? kogan mobile wont send me a pin to my email, if i didnt put in any CC details during sign up (it used a saved CC in my Kogan page which Ive deleted), will it still try to auto recharge?

    • You need to login in the app with mobile number and your dob. First time you login in it’ll ask to change the pin to something else.

      • Couldn't even get to the stage lol, I think there was something wrong with the recharge portal last week as it kept saying my vouchers were invalid, but when I called them they managed to apply it.

  • Will they cancel your plan if you remove autorecharge?

  • can we use revolut now? i find kogan just block the revolut.
