What Hair Dryer to Get That Is Powerful, Easy to Use, Dries Hair Fast and Is Ideally Quietish ?

I’m wondering if anyone has had a good look into hair dryers lately. I have a 2200w Remington one that coat less than $50. It’s definitely okay, but I’m interested in something that:
- will dry my hair faster
- is ergonomic/lightweight
- leave my hair in decent condition
- if possible is not too loud
Priorities probably in that order

I have long, straight, relatively thick hair with highlights.

The Dyson one seems really expensive but if it saves me time I’d be semi interested. I’ve also seen some knock off air wrap attachments for the Dyson super sonic which look pretty good. The more expensive ones seems to have lower wattage than some of the cheaper ones so I’m guessing it has something to do with efficiency 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for any suggestions or experience you can offer.

    I've purchased five secondhand Dyson Supersonics since they were released, the most expensive at $299. All are still in service. Even the flimsy filter covers have stood the test of time. Their users (not me) would say they fully meet your brief.

          That’s very kind of you. Good idea on the second hand. So from the feedback you’ve had they do actually reduce drying time? I think that’s my main reason for wanting an upgrade.

            @morse: According to a review in Good Housekeeping… in our Lab tests, the motor on the Supersonic produced the best airflow compared to any other hair dryer tested, and it dried hair the fastest.
