Woolworths 20x Points and 10% off Total Shop

Hi just wondering if anyone knows for sure if I could buy Apple gift cards with 20x points at Woolworths (so I effectively get 10% of that back to spend on groceries) and can also use my monthly 10% off from Rewards Extra when I pay for them?

So if I bought 2 x $500 gift cards, -10% would be $900, and I'd get $90 worth of points (so, effectively $1000 in Apple credit for $810).

Cheers :)

  • Sorry to burst your bubble but you only get points and not a discount.

Gift cards are specifically excluded (https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/extra.html) see the faq for extra discounts:

There are some purchases that you won’t be able to apply your Extra Discount to, including: Everyday Market from Woolworths purchases, purchases at Ampol Woolworths Metro and MetroGo, smoking or tobacco products and accessories, liquor, gift cards (incl. iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges (including Delivery Unlimited items), bag or crate fees, donations, Carpet Care, lottery products, pre-order kiosks, purchases on a charge account, BIG W Photos online, Apple products, gaming consoles, rainchecks, BIG W eBay, pre-orders, lay-by fees and BIG W products purchased from Everyday Market from Woolworths. Inclusion of the above excluded items in your BIG W Online shop will void the Extra Discount. Please ensure these exclusions are purchased in a separate transaction if you wish to enjoy your Extra Discount via BIG W Online.

Thanks I thought it seemed too easy!

Can you stack discounts at Woolworths? For example get 10% off on Woolworths Mobile at the same time as getting 10% on the everyday rewards extra plus gift cards totalling more than 20 percent discount?

    • If buying gift cards as OP has posted then no.

Oh, and the 10% is on a maximum $500 purchase each month, so no more than a $50 discount.
