    47% off $299 RRP

Amazon has never sold it anywhere near this. Average price seems to be $171.48 through a third party or $189.48 sold and shipped by Amazon

  • can you plug this into an ipad?

    • Yep.. even supports encrypted APFS volumes.

Seems to be $134.50 delivered from Catch

    • Thanks, I had a $15 catch voucher too!

  • Other than the size. What is the benefit compared to a portable ssd?

    • Far cheaper to get a 1TB NVMe SSD and an enclosure. But for people who are looking for a product like this, you cant go wrong.

      • And you'd be lucky to get 10% of the NVMe speed and risk of burning your finger

  • Note that according to the description, Read speeds up to 150MB/s
If you prefer a faster read/write type-c USB drive probably better to look at Samsung one

thanks for this, I've been looking for a while, Catch is cheaper so bought from there, I think you should change the link and price to catch.

  • 20MB/s writes is way too low for a 1TB.

Yeah and if you are willing to spend $155+ and don't mind a larger footprint getting a m.2 ssd and a good external case will give you a portable vastly superior product.

  • Please do yourself a favour and buy something that is not show & getting hot while transferring files, you can literally get a Samsung T7 1TB for $120 right now: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/743460
