We want to dehydrate various foods occasionally . Kmart sells this for $55:

Are they any good?
I’ve read that an air fryer can also be used but have no experience with them.

My brother in law has the Kmart dehydrater , works really well , recommend . Air fryers , I have no idea !
I tried the Kogan one which was plastic like this. Didn't like it, wish I just paid extra for a metal one. I could have seen myself getting into it, making jerky to eat erry day.

What specifically didn't you like about it?
No mine didn't look like that. What I didn't like was that it took a very long time to use and didn't really dehydrate well. I'm guessing the big metal ones that cost hundreds might take a long time too but would work properly. But for all I know stye all work just as well as each other.

I have the kmart airfryer (looks like a benchtop oven) which has a dehydrate function. I'm curious about the power draw for running at 55 degrees for 4-8 hours.
Use your existing oven for occasion when you want to dehydrate foods.
