    I have the older model of this Poly (the Plantronics Voyager Focus.)
    I've never used the Jabra but it looks like a level beyond this, status lights, transparency mode, AAC codec.

      Thanks OrderedChaos, the mic showdown was quite telling, the poly's mic sounded tinny and almost like there was a layer of inteference. coxymia, for the feedback. I used the jabra evolve 75 and it was pretty amazing in terms of call quality but my ears would get warm very quickly.

  For $274 I wonder if buyers might not be better off waiting for the "Factory Second" Sony WH-1000XM4 or even just spending a bit more for the BoseQuiet Comforts…

  I would imagine this would have a better microphone but the others having better sound quality or ANC which is probably a more useful feature for the user.

    Absolutely not.

    I use the Voyager Focus 2. It is the best headset I have ever used. My son can literally be talking right next to me and people on my calls cannot hear him. The voice isolation on this unit and it's predecessor is next level.

    Comparing this to an almost open mic on headphones is just silly. Completely different use case.

    This is a great price. Well done OP.

    I have the older version and the dedicated microphone mute button on the boom is very handy for conference calls. The USB dongle changes colour based on if you are muted. Very handy.

  work gave me this headset. Battery life is great, and the headphones themselves are comfortable. My only gripe with them is that it sounds like I talk with a lisp, it seems the mic overcompensates the letter “s”

  Another Focus 1 user here, best headset ever. The key difference in headsets is not what you hear, it’s what everyone else on the call hears. As others have commented, the background noise cancellation on the Focus range is next level. I could go bring the bin in with the rubbish truck still driving past, forget that I’m not on mute and not get a single complaint from my colleagues. Testament to both the background noise filtering and Bluetooth range.

  I have the lower model plantronics 4220 amd jabra 65. The mic quality id the same and they both block out noise 10cm away from mic. The sound quality is heaps better for audio on plantronics so is the build quality. Dollar for dollar id pick plantronics over jabra
