Last week i saw that Uber were running a promo where if you join Uber One membership.
it's $0 for first month of membership (cancel anytime no charge) and a new member deal you get $20 off ubereat orders over $30, + free delivery with the order. expire Dec 15th.
So a $30 meal becomes $10 + free delivery. the deal was site wide. not limited to specific restaurants.
it was plastered all over their website.
I joined for the sole purpose to get the $20 off deal and was planning to just cancel the uber one pass in a week.
i saw the discount still in my promo page yesterday. i looked at it again to confirm it was expiring on Dec 15th. added things to my uber eats cart to check the promo will apply (without going through with checkout)
today i checked and it's disappeared. the deal is nowhere on their website and been taken off my promotions.
i went to the help section of my uber accout that asks for a screenshot of the promo.. well i don't have a screenshot.
has this happened to anyone else?
did anyone get this deal? i searched for this deal on here and it's not listed on here which is strange as it's a good deal.
edit* i just went on their website on desktop without logging in and see they've now replaced it with a $5 off a (top picks restaurant) deal
I'm betting the deal had "or if withdrawn earlier" in the ts&cs lel. Although, if that was the sole selling point and that was not made clear in that ad, then that would be misleading. However misleading it may have been, it hasn't actually cost you anything so there probably isn't much you can do.
