This is so sugary that you can barely taste the alcohol

Edit: Not too bad if you add ice.

    • +1

Totally agree! Bought it a couple of years ago when a similar deal was around and it was disgusting imo. If you like the taste, the alcohol percentage and price would be fantastic

      • +1 for maybe the worst drink I've ever had. I think I gave mine away, and I'm a tightarse.

        • Always critics.

I bought these and they’re fantastic

  • Bought a carton. Thanks mate

  • Grabbed a carton, thanks mate.

  • Grabbed three, awesome ginger beer. Thanks OP.

Just a heads up if you havent tried this, its very sweet. Some may like it but i definitely didn't.
For reference i like much less sweet alcoholic ginger beers like:
    Royal Jamaican
    Bendigo
    Lick pier.

Royal Jamaican is awesome. I suggest giving Gweilo Ginger Beer a try. It's an Asian Twist - with lemongrass and pepper

      • +1

Tingletop, best by a significant margin (fyi it is a ginger beer, not a beer with ginger)

        • I give it a try

      • Gweilo = White devil iirc

How do these compare in sweetness to Bundaberg Ginger Beers?

  • when I add to cart it says that it’s no longer available in NSW.

edit - Changed to delivery and it added

  • +2

Purchased, thanks OP. Added two bottles of the pink gin for $72, makes $112. Then added the sitewide code and got another discount, and then another $10 off with the Amex deal. About $90ish all up!👍

  • Wonder if it goes well with a drop of Stones Green Ginger wine in the mix?

I bought this a week ago from the First Choice cash rewards deal, it just arrived in the mail. Anyway I really like it, it’s 8% though so after a single bottle I’m pretty done for the night! They are made just up the road, near Bendigo, VIC. I think this is actually brewed ginger beer rather than water + alcohol + sugar + ginger flavour like a lot of alternatives are.

  • Anyone else have problem with using the SITEWIDE code ¿

Retried and it worked, but this time I put it straight away, and not at the end of my order.

    • very sweet, too sweet for my liking

      • Fair enough, I don’t notice it too much, and I normally eat fairly low sugar food. I think it helps balance out the strong alcohol and fairly strong ginger.

This is a great deal, I have a case sitting in the cupboard but since these are normally $65+ per case I will have to pick up another. I got mine in the recent 25% cash rewards cash back.

      • +1

I add ice. It helps out tremendously

    • +2

This is seriously awful gingerbeer. Even my 18 year old won't drink it and I ended up throwing most of the case out.

      • BUT!!! its "everyone's favourite…" 😀

:) a copy and paste from the last time it was posted.

      • James Squires is good.
People just buy stuff because it's discounted on here even if it's crap.

    • +2

Horrid stuff, even at that price. Friends bought a 4 pack. Opened one, tipped it out and gave rest to me. I opened one, tasted it, tipped it and the others down the sink and got the 10c back on the bottle. Garbage.

      • I bought some for my teenage son who at the time was more interested in alcohol content than flavour. He drank one or two and wouldn't drink anymore. Even despite the very high alcohol content. I tried and couldn't finish one before tipping it out.

    • +1

this is one of the worst drink i ever tasted , bought in last clearance sale , took almost a year to find a mate who likes this stuff to get rid of rest of the bottles

  • So mods are going to merge all new deals when a new one comes up with an old expired one ?

    • Not sure why the old post was marked as expired, it was still available.
