    Only a few responses to the poll, but it looks like all respondents either didn't buy it or have received their copy.
    That sucks for me.

    I assumed there would be a more widespread availability issue given Amazon was unable to fulfill an order from 5 months prior.

  I preordered an action figure from Amazon as I thought it would be popular, so I wanted to make sure I secured one.

  Ironically this nearly caused me to miss out because Amazon kept telling me the item was delayed. I was worried that they would string me along then eventually cancel at which point none would be available anywhere, so I started looking elsewhere. Most places had already sold out or were low stock but I did manage to secure one instore at Zing (for the same price) and cancel my Amazon order.

  I preordered five months in advance and received it 3 weeks after release

  pestered them a couple days each week (they kept saying its coming) til they finally gave in and offered me $5 credit, I told them thats insulting and said make it atleast $10 which they did

  I probably won't preorder from Amazon again, its not worth it, 3 weeks delay is disgusting, luckily I picked up a copy from Harvey Norman for $49 as a backup on release day, turns out I needed it

  EDIT: I don't know why the amazon post for the deal was locked but I reckon if it wasn't then there would have been more complaints, I went there to share my frustrations but unfortunately the post was locked??

      Yeah a couple days after release, was just poor considering I ordered it months in advance

  I cancelled mine before release date but share the sentiment that Amazon is a terrible place to reserve yourself something rare.

  I preordered a smash bros guide book when it was on sale, then they said they had no stock and eventually refunded the money. They then later sold it above RRP which sucks.

  Any must have limited editions I would go brick and mortar store and collect it on launch date and price match as required even if it means doing it at EB games.

  Preorders are always late for me with Amazon

    Fair point, this is my first experience pre-ordering from Amazon, and thankfully I don't think it's particularly rare. Was simply a better priced option at the time.

  I'm prime member & usually receive games on launch day from Amazon AU mostly. I received Pokemon SV Dual Pack on perfect launch day.

  Well I didn't receive Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion PS5 game on time instead two days late for now…

    I paid $10 for express freight and they didn't even dispatch my item. :(
    Needless to say, I'll be getting that $10 refunded.
