Lister: We don't LIKE muffins around here! We want no muffins, no toast, no teacakes, no buns, baps, baguettes or bagels, no croissants, no crumpets, no pancakes, no potato cakes and no hot-cross buns and DEFINITELY no smegging flapjacks!

Toaster: Aah, so you're a waffle man!

I have the oven in the picture and it has not lasted the distance,
4 years old - the seals went, does not cook evenly (hotter on the right side)

Smeg=overpriced rubbish. For the money they are uneconomical to repair too, a basic Bosch dishwasher is cheaper than a fix for a Smeg one, and their warranty people aren't great to deal with either.

Was about to say their ovens are probably the least likely to fail, but reading he comment above it seems even they can prematurely

    • Always makes me think of smegma

Unfortunate to have 2 of these in a rental house a while ago. Overpriced rubbish.
Doors break internally, uneven heating. No thanks.

  • Thanks for posting. I've ordered up the induction cooktop! Not sure about the oven but the cooktop looks like an incredible deal.

Idk, I was sorely tempted by this deal however the ikea Bejublad is cheaper and has features like bridging zones and pause. It also has a 5 year guarantee vs the Smeg 2 year.

Imo it's a good deal if you want a Smeg named product but personally I'm gonna save up for the Ikea HÖGKLASSIG just so I can piss off my girlfriend by yelling its name. Also being able to control temperature by moving the pot forward or back on the hob seems super sexy for some reason and is well worth the extra $250.

  • Bought a Smeg oven thinking the brand was quality. In comparison to the generic DiLonghi we had before it was the biggest disappointment considering we thought we were upgrading to quality. In a short time the fan went, the element went and the LED display has nearly completely disappeared. Not again for us.

There’s a reason why it’s clearance - the reviews are terrible.

Agree with posts above - Smeg kitchen appliances are l overpriced rubbish.
